Love my Traeger!

I purchased my timberline 1300 in the summer of 2018. WOW! This smoker is AWESOME! I love to grill but boy do we impress our friends and family with smoked meats! I just smoked 2 briskets for the first time for Easter 2019! They were so moist and tasty. Why not make your life easier and stress-less while entertaining!

So far this has been great! I replaced a Camp-Chef model that I had to seriously babysit from day one, but the Timberline, not so much. I’ve done a few long smoke cycles already and will be doing a 12 hour this weekend for a couple briskets and pork butts. Can’t wait!
My only gripe is the location of the bin sensor and the bin clean out.
For the sensor, it’s placed directly above the auger drop which gets lower before the rest of the bin and thus you get warnings of low pellets prematurely. Not a huge deal. I just push pellets from one side to the other until it’s actually really low.
For the bin clean out, it’s placed in the back, which is fine, except that the rear wheel prevents me moving any of my pellet containers under it. My first try to swap pellets was a heck of a mess. So now I’ll be using a small handheld container in one hand and something to push the pellets in the other. And hopefully not make a mess again. :)

Timberline 850

I have had the Timberline 850 for about 6 weeks now. I love it. It is well built. The assembly was easy and the packaging even gives you a beer holder. The instructions even show you how many beers/drinks at different points of the build. LOL I have done a pork shoulder, ribs, briskets and a turkey to date. The first brisket was okay, the last one was perfection. It gives a beautiful smoke ring. The WiFi hooked up with no problem. I love that feature. Just ignite and tell it to use one of the online recipes and it does the rest or you can control the temp from the phone and see the probe temperature at all times.

Not as good as my Green Egg. Not enough smoke. Temp control is inconsistent, and it is loud. Ruins the experience hearing it next to your friends on the patio. I wouldn’t buy it again especially at the cost.

I am amazed at the quality of this grill. They didnt cut any corners with this new timberline grill. I had an older Traeger, and dont get me wrong, I liked it, but this Timberline blows everything out of the water. I would highly reccommend this grill to anyone that likes to get the most out of their meat!

Best Pellet Grill You'll Find

Recently purchased the Timberline and can't cook enough with it. Very convenient with the Wi/Fire tech, if you need it to run to the store or are occupied with something else around the house you can check your food just as easy as a text or email. SuperSmoke feature is great for BBQ, I was a skeptic of how much of a smoke profile this would actually generate with the meat and was put in my place. The reverse sear on steaks with SS is great too, whole new concept for me and well worth the time it takes to prepare. We've always been big on grilling vegetables in our home too and this grill has raised the bar on flavor and texture. Only con is the grease system, it functions poorly in my opinion and keeping it clean is a constant detailed practice for safety and preventing unwanted flavor in your food, room for improvement. Only complaint is I purchased the prior generation less than 3 months before the current updates to the drive and other small features were made, would have waited if I knew on a purchase like this.
