Last Traeger Ever

I have two Traegers and one Green Mountain. The 1300 is the worst i have ever had. It constantly has problems and if it lights has flame-ups. Customers service is good about sending part but for the cost i should not have to call them so much. It is my last Traeger. PS my old Traeger still works great.

I always check reviews before making a purchase on anything. So to my much surprise when checking the reviews. I found that any complaint that was made on this product was answered by support. Due to this simple fact I will be purchasing one of these grill. Never have I seen a company answer hardly any reviews. To see the company answer and be so willing to help real good keep up the good work.

1300 T.Horrible grill! Catches fire all the time!

I have less than a year with the grill, it seems to catch fire every other smoke I do. Yes, I have cleaned and vacuumed the grill prior to any start up to prevent that issue from happening. I also scrap any grease and replace the liner but nothing seems to work! It has ruined multiple cooks, it’s disappointing since it cost so much money! Such a waste!

Timberline 1300 is Fire, Literally

The Timberline 1300 has ruined my Traeger experience. I purchased a Pro 22 originally and absolutely loved it. I cooked everything on that grill. I hosted, neighborhood cookouts with 50 plus people, having to cook items ahead to manage with the smaller grill. It was awesome, I was your typical Traeger fanatic always talking about my grill and probably have sold 10 to family and friends.
Traeger released the new D2 models and I eventually went all in on the 1300. It has been nothing but problems from day one with grease fires. I keep the grill clean and have never had issues like this with the much cheaper Pro 22. The issue is the Timberline series has a very poor grease management system. They have little slope on this model's drip tray. Then there is a 34" wide grease trough along the front of the grill to catch all the grease from that tray. Whenever you cook above 300 with this model, you run the risk of a grease fire.
It's really unfortunate because I never had any issues with the Pro 22. I bought a Pro 575 more recently, and have had no issues with that one either.
Sort these reviews and read all the fire complaints. It's a major issue and essentially keeps me from using the grill for anything but smoking. It's a real shame to have bought the top of the line model at the time and not be able to rely on it and use it. I highly recommend if you want a Traeger, to get the Pro series or Ironwood series. They are more reliable in my experience.

I purchased my timberline 1300 in the summer of 2018. WOW! This smoker is AWESOME! I love to grill but boy do we impress our friends and family with smoked meats! I just smoked 2 briskets for the first time for Easter 2019! They were so moist and tasty. Why not make your life easier and stress-less while entertaining! The WiFi and probe make enjoying your day while smoking your meal "a no brainier! " Buy this smoker!
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far this has been great! I replaced a Camp-Chef model that I had to seriously babysit from day one, but the Timberline, not so much. I’ve done a few long smoke cycles already and will be doing a 12 hour this weekend for a couple briskets and pork butts. Can’t wait!
My only gripe is the location of the bin sensor and the bin clean out.
For the sensor, it’s placed directly above the auger drop which gets lower before the rest of the bin and thus you get warnings of low pellets prematurely. Not a huge deal. I just push pellets from one side to the other until it’s actually really low.
For the bin clean out, it’s placed in the back, which is fine, except that the rear wheel prevents me moving any of my pellet containers under it. My first try to swap pellets was a heck of a mess. So now I’ll be using a small handheld container in one hand and something to push the pellets in the other. And hopefully not make a mess again. :)
