I have had nothing but success using this grill. I enjoy the ease of use, the wifire technology is really takes grilling / smoking to a new level. The double wall construction of this grill is a huge plus in controlling and maintaining temperature. It also keeps the exterior of the grill from becoming overly hot, even when it’s cranked up to 450-500, you can touch the exterior and not burn yourself, impressive and great for when kids are around. My only knock on the grill is the pellet sensor is not overly reliable, more often than not, there are more pellets in the box than what is being reported.

Love the fact this grill is working well in cold weather. The insulated walls, lid, & lid gasket make this perfect for areas that go sub-zero in winter! Can’t beat the reverse seared ribeye on the Timberline!

Overall a great grill.. giving four stars due to wifi connectivity being a pain. Also my temp sensor had a short from the factory. The probe would click on and off. Bummed I couldn’t give it a 5 star rating, I was really excited for this grill.

I bought a Timberline 850 last line summer. The ignition on this unit has not worked correctly since the second time I used it. It started by racing up to 500 degrees when lite to not lighting at all. After replacing the hot rod, it ignited correctly one time. Now it’s back to not lighting. Considering the price of this unit, it should work better than this. Now it’s just clutter on my deck

It’s a very nice piece of kit but don’t buy the 850 unless you plan on cooking for 10 to 20 people on a regular basis. Goes through a lot of pellets even when cooking a smaller amount of food as the cubic space is large.
Also strange that the door is not air tight and smoke is wasted as it seeps out the gaps in the door.

Most important thing about this grill is the food comes out great, and with the Wi-Fi app it’s practical to use and a lot of fun. The only down side is emptying the wood pellets to change type of wood for different types of food, this is still a bit of a pain to do, hence 4 stars

I purchased this and I am not happy. This poor smoker has wild temperature swings of 100 plus degrees despite being cleaned every use. I wish i had purchased another brand of pellet smoker as this traeger was a complete waste of money. I never leave my pellets in the smoker when not in use, they get stored in an air tight container indoors. The traeger trouble shooting guide through the app was zero help. Do not buy traeger.

I sold my last Traeger, the Pro 22 series. I wanted a bigger one. So I got the Timberline 850 and it is awesome. I bought a tailgater to use while the Timberline was shipping. Now I use it at work and when we camp. I’ve used every type of grill from charcoal to gas, Traeger by far is the best, easiest to use, and creates the best tasting food. My only complaint is that every screw inside the grill was loose or had fallen out completely. I went through the entire thing and tightened every screw, bolt, and but I could find.
