Hi, and thank you for your feedback on the Ranger Portable Grill. Without knowing the details, it is difficult to say what specifically could be causing the problem. However, if it is simply not turning on, there are only so many things that it could be. Assuming the outlet and cord are not responsible, it may just be a blown fuse on the control panel (there should be a spare attached). If this is the case, you’ll want to do a quick component test after replacing the fuse so that you don’t just blow the new one on the next attempt. Although there are steps for doing this on the Traeger.com Blown Fuse support page in the “Determine What Caused the Blown Fuse” section, it is usually easier to perform the test with someone on the line from Traeger Support. There are agents available every day of the year who can help with this, or any other concern you have with your Ranger, so do not hesitate to give us a call at 1-800-TRAEGER up until 10:00 PM MT, any day of year.

We bought this grill back in march for our camper and I must say I’m truly impressed. Our most recent trip I smoked a 9lbs pork shoulder and it was perfect. You will get a lot of question when grilling on it(what is that?, who makes that?). People are impressed by what it can do. This grill is so versatile and we couldn’t be happier. We are no stranger to Traeger grills as this is our forth Traeger. We currently have a Ironwood 885 and the Ranger. We previously had a lil Tex 22 and a 575. Both were great grills. I would highly recommend this grill to anyone looking for a portable grill and you won’t be disappointed. As with any pellet grill maintain/clean it regularly and you will not have any issues.
