8000 btu quiet temp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a window unit, this thing is quiet. Yes, you do have noise from the compressor, fan, and outlet air, but they are slight. I like that the panel turns off after a few seconds as it is bright. I Don't use the WiFi option, so I can't comment on that. I've only had it for 2 months now and I'm interested to see how long it lasts.

It's loud-ish, but good luck finding one that isn't.
The app isn't as bad as some reviews say.

Love the silence

Does a great job of quickly cooling my living room, plus the silence is a game changer for me. Never going back to the loud old units. Plus the added WiFi control makes it easy to cool the area before getting home and then there's the added bonus to prank your love ones remotely :P

Does the job with aesthetics

The wireless/app function that the AC comes with is also pretty cool and useful! I’m so happy I ordered this AC and haven’t run into problems. I also enjoy the modern look of it and managed to install the AC onto a horizontal sliding window. Just keep in mind that it’s quite a chunky AC.

Quietest Window or In Wall A/C Ever Owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the in Early July for my son's bedroom. This is a reasonably large room, top floor, facing the noon to afternoon/eve sun. The room gets hot. It replaced a powerful Carrier window A/C that we had for years. I was worried it might not have the power for the room but it works great The room was screaming hot as the old one broke down a couple of weeks after we put in the window and we had no A/C in the room for over a week in the 90's. Installation went easy and the weight and overall size was much less than the Carrier model. It was incredibly quiet with the compressor noise so low you have to get close to it to hear, especially if the fan is on high or even medium. Those reviews stating it was not that quiet are not correct or something else is wrong. We have 5 in wall high end A/Cs in this house, and four other brand window A/Cs in another home, and this one is the quietest and by a huge amount. Especially the compressor volume. Then it cooled the room right down and has worked perfect so far these few months. The styling is very good looking. My son will smart connect via his phone, but the remote is fine for me. After that the main thing is that it work well for a good number of years. For that only time will tell.

Fall installation

It is super quiet, cold very quickly and I love the wi-fi option!
This went into a 10x12 shed we upgraded into a spa treatment room. The ceiling (roof) is about 15 feet high at the peak; so it's actually a larger room than the avg flat roof.
I also mounted it about seven feet high, so a remote (or wi-fi) was a must to operate.
It is super quiet, cold very quickly and I love the wi-fi option!

Okay, but not as quiet as our larger Frigidaire

We bought this because we love our Frigidaire Quiet Temp 8000 BTU model. This one is supposed to be 4db quieter and we chose it for that reason to put in our bedroom. After we installed we could immediately tell it was not quieter. We measured it with a decibel meter compared to the other one and it’s actually 5db louder. Not only that but the sound profile is an unpleasant pulsating buzz. We feel like the product was misrepresented and there’s nothing we can do about it now. It does blow cold air so in that regard it works.
