I have 2 of these, and love them. They are used daily, as I am in chronic pain.
I noticed people complaining about the flashing F - Unplug the unit from the wall, check to be sure the plug at the heating pad is pushed in all the way, then plug it back into the wall. The F will go away. You MUST unplug it from the wall!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I just got this today, and love it, I'm 6 ft. tall and it cover a good part of my back, I have very bad back pain and this help relive the pain...buy this, u will love it. :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keeps coming unplugged

The cord keeps coming unplugged from the pad. So annoying. No way to fix it that I know of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!! The Sunbeam Xpress Heat, Heating Pad size XL has some really great features. Such as the controls to the heating pad are easily used and it heated up nicely. The heating pad also held its temperature the whole time.  I'm so glad that the Sunbeam Xpress Heating Pad has the larger sizes now!  Especially since my husband has needed to use a Heating Pad for his back.  He also  stated that it actually stays in place and it is nice and thick.  He also said that there where no wires or plastic crunching in his ear! After hearing that, I went ahead and bought a couple of the Sunbeam Xpress Heat, Heating Pad XL to use as Christmas Presents!

Tis is the second Sunbeam Xpress heating pad I purchased... Neither lasted longer than 18 months .. I will not buy it again.

Has quality control become an issue?

The first extra large (burgundy color) Xpress heat heating pad I bought lasted several years of almost daily use for my mom. I do senior home care, and over a decade I have given many of these soft, extra large heating pads as gifts and received good feedback. However, I must wonder whether quality control has become an issue over the last several years for this Sunbeam item. The last two pads I bought (dark green) were for myself and proved to be major disappointments. One lasted about two months and just stopped working. I believed it was a fluke. There is so much to like about this pad and that is why I purchased another. I should have known something was wrong with the second one because it didn't seem to get hot enough. I used it exactly 3 times before it died, flashing "F" on the hand control. I will not buy another, but I am hoping to find a longer lasting heating pad that has all the nice features of this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting the Sunbeam®. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with your heating pads where the first one only lasted for about two months and the other one is flashing F. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help.

There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying “FF, F1, or F2”:

1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet.
2. Product wasn't plugged in properly.

To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your product:
1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection.
2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord)
3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord)
4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.

For warranty claims, take note that your Sunbeam® Premium Heating Pad with XpressHeat® has a 5-year limited warranty. If in any case you are not satisfied with the quality of your unit, we'd like to request for you to contact us directly or fill in the "Contact us" link provided below so that we can provide you with a better solution. Love it while it worked

I bought this and loved it. It was used regularly. Almost daily and only lasted about 6 months. Granted my husband says I used it too much, but I didn't buy it to leave it in the box. I expected a lot more use from this product.
I loved the product while it was working. I loved the extra large size, I loved the cover is attached so it didn't fall off of the heating pad and leave the heating pad exposed and able to burn me.
I would recommend this to a friend!
