Heating Pad? More like cool pad!

Bought one yesterday. It heated for 5 minutes then went cold. Tried three different outlets, thinking it might have been outlet issue. Wouldn't heat. Took it back today and got another one. It got hot, then went lukewarm. Never got hot again. Read reviews and see lots of people saying same thing. As I type, hubby is on his way to buy another heating pad...but not a Sunbeam!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love these large heating pads because they heat up quickly and stay on! I give them for gifts every Christmas.. Because who doesn't need warmth at some point!?

They changed their technology

I bought the king size one last year it worked great still is. I bought another one for my office in March 2019 and it is now flashing F. It is not the connection as I have tried several times of unplugging and replugging it back in. I bought a new one used that cord on the old one and I still get the F. The new heating pad however is the same insert as the cheap ones. You know the plastic ones that crunch and heat unevenly burning you. I loved the product until they change the insert. Its no different than the cheap ones. Buy the cheaper ones!!! You save money and get the exact same thing. They are going to rely on older reviews before changing their technology.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stops heating after 5 minutes

Very nice heating pad. Perfect size. It stops heating after about 5 minutes And has to be turned off and back on. What is the problem?

GREAT heating pad!

I too got the F...I unplugged and replugged and all is great...I thought it was because I plugged into the wall and then the heating pad. Great heat.

Very good product but doesnt last long

I am now on my third Sunbeam express heat heating pad in four years. I love the size of the pad and how quickly and long it gears for. I use it frequently for my arthritic back and neck however not happy with the lack of duration in the product lasting .
I would recommend this to a friend!

F....F....F...F...F

They usually last me about a year - 2. I use mine every night and not so much during winter. The F can also mean the wiring inside the pad or the controller itself. You twist and turn at night and that can crumple everything. Every time mine have failed it is not the outlet or plug on the pad. It is something else and I still get the F.

Worked great until it didn’t.

I have LOVED this heating pad. I’ve actually had mine for about 3 years. I’ve used it a lot over the last 6 months and out of the blue last night the infamous “F” started flashing. I unplugged it from the wall, detached the cord from the pad and reattached, plugged back in etc. I did this NUMEROUS times. The old heating pad has seen its last day. I was fortunate to have mine work for a long time. If I only had it for a few days or months I’d be frustrated too. I hate that mine is done, but I’d rather a flashing “F” than it go up in flames or something worse. I’ll trust it’s protecting me from something worse and go get another one when I get my next paycheck. I WILL complete the warranty stuff next time though. Wish I’d done that last time.
