The heating pad itself is good. The problem is the controls. This is the second heating pad I bought that keeps flashing F no matter what I do. Don’t waste your money on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting the Sunbeam®. We are sorry to hear that this is the second heating pad that you have purchased that keeps on flashing F. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help.
There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying “FF, F1, or F2”:
1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Product wasn't plugged in properly.
To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your product: 1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord) 3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord) 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.
Your Sunbeam® Premium Heating Pad with XpressHeat® has a 5-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly or fill in the "Contact us" link provided below to help you get to the best resolution. Have a good day!

Newall Brands does not answer emails for replacement of heating pad that does not work.
Response from Sun BeamBy Sunbeam®, Brand Team, November 8, 2023
Thank you for reaching out to Sunbeam®. We are sorry to hear that your heating pad is no longer working and you did not receive an email from us. That is certainly not the experience we want you to have. No worries, we are here to help.
Control Blinking, No Heat or No power may be an indicator that the product is not receiving enough power from the source.
To fix this problem, please follow these troubleshooting steps in order: 1. Unplug the heating pad from the wall outlet for at least 30 seconds 2. Verify there is no physical damage to the cord, controller, or heating pad 3. Verify the connection between the heating pad and the controller is tight 4. Verify that the power cord is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Be sure that this heated product is used only on an AC supply circuit of the proper voltage. Do not use with an extension cord. Do not use with generators, power converters or inverters. 5. Try a different appliance (such as a small lamp) in the outlet to ensure the outlet is functional. 6. Try plugging the heating pad into a different outlet to see if it works in a different outlet.
For warranty claims, take note that your Sunbeam® Premium Heating Pad with XpressHeat® has a 5-year limited warranty. If in any case you are not satisfied with the quality of your unit, we'd like to request for you to contact us directly or fill in the "Contact us" link provided below so that we can provide you with a better solution. It works until you really need it.

I’d give it a zero stars if I could. It worked until I really needed it. Then when it went into heavy use I got the F error. Stay away from this thing. Watch the response. “We don’t usually….” I’m in pain and the heating pad crapped out. Stay away.

Not impressed

13 months old and flashing F. Now will not heat at all. The 1-800 numbers for Canada are either (1) in French, then you get a busy signal and are cut off, or (2) you push 2 to speak with someone and then get a busy signal and are cut off. Would not recommend or buy another.

What good is a heating pad that doesn’t get hot!

We received our new Sunbeam heating pad with express heat, king size today. It is a replacement for a great unit that worked wonderfully for many years. That’s why we ordered the exact model as a replacement. Unfortunately, this product is a shadow of the original unit. This product simply doesn’t get hot, it barely gets warm. What happened to a formerly great product?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
