Doesn’t last

Bought one and it lasted just over a year!! Could not get warranty covered because I lost my receipt. Didn’t keep receipt because who would have expected it to malfunction so soon when it says ‘5 year warranty’
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I see your reply to others with this problem that this is rare, but apparently it isn't. We have the same issue. We only had the heating pad for about 2 months and it started flashing the F and won't work. We thought it was something we did wrong. And kept trying different things. But alas, nope nothing. So frustrating.

There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying “FF, F1, or F2”:
1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet. 2. Product wasn't plugged in properly.
To FIX this problem, do the following to reset your product: 1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. 2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord) 3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord) 4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.

Meh, not what I expected, but may work for you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about getting this, I thought it would be great to use while sitting in a chair, as well as when I'm laying down. What caught my attention was that it said KING SIZE! So of course I thought oh wow it's going to be a good size for all over body heat session. I honestly don't know why they are calling this KING SIZE, I don't consider this to be king size all. I did not read the measurements. The size of this will work if you mainly want the heat on your back. I was hoping it would be wide enough to heat my shoulders too. This does start to heat up quickly and has 6 heat settings. I started with the 6 setting, which is the hottest, but for me at the 6th setting I expected it to be hotter! The 6 setting is the only one I use the others are not that hot for me, so if you don't like that hot this will be fine for you. I do like that the pad is thin, and machine washable. The control is easy to work, there is also and optional 2 hour auto-shut off. For me personally this was just okay, yes it worked, but not what I expected for being a KING SIZE, and having SIX heat settings. I was really excited for this item, but was disappointed in it overall. Also I am a petite person, for reference. This is still recommendable if the size 12"x24" works for you and you don't expect it to get so hot. The size would be great for your lower back going across.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful, soothing heating pad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heating pad has all the features I need. It is large enough to drape over my shoulder and the constant on setting and range of heat options is just what I was looking for. It is so soft too--very comforting.

I received my heating today (9/8/2014) and before I could even turn it on, the cheap plastic snap would not function properly, so I immediately had to request a return on this product. Fortunately I saved the heating pad I have used since the 1970's!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mine would stop heating after 1-2 seconds and flash "F". I am returning to the seller and never buying Sunbeam again.

HAD FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND THE TEMPETATURE NO LONGER GETS HOT. CONSIDERING HOW MUCH IT COST SHOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER. VERY DISAPPOINTED
