Efficient and convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time mom. I have family and friends that were pregnant before me and seen first hand the commitment and challenges breastfeeding involves. When I first started seeing ads for the the hand free pump I was skeptical as it was new to me and not use to what I saw in real life. But I was lured by the conviences of hand free pumping, after seeing women plugged to a wall or hands occupied,. I ordered the willow pump prior to birth after birth a lactation consultant recommended a standard pump because it was more efficient. I ordered a standard pump as well and did a little test of my own. I found both to be equally efficient but the Willow to be more convenient. I love the willow pump. I am able to wake up in the morning brush my teeth make the bed and just put myself together. It’s a great way to start my day. I have some leaking issues occasionally and have lost some milk but with practice I am getting better at using the milk container. The insert made a world of difference in my pumping. The spill proof bags certainly are more spill proof. I’ve had issues with parts but was still within my 90 day warranty and the service team was very helpful.

Spill proof milk bags

I had one batch of bags that were defective and had tiny holes that caused leakage. Customer service was very helpful and quick to send me replacements. Other than that, I love the spill proof bags. I have had no issues with air, and they’re easy to pour into bottles. I especially love that they’re spill proof and allow me to be very active while pumping.

Useful but wasteful for my needs

These bags are nice, but unfortunately I don’t produce enough to be able to freeze. I pump then open for use later in the day. I tired using the containers, but I would get so frustrated with them because it would say that they are full and they wouldn’t even be close to being filled. No matter how many times I deep cleaned them, it was always the same story. These bags are very expensive, but I don’t want to stop pumping.

Milk not going into bags

I've read all of the instructions and troubleshooting tips, but I have tried 3 times using this pump and every time the bags have been empty at the end of the session. Milk pools in the flange and milk drops down my chest instead of entering the bags while pumping. Only milk that goes into the bags is when I have done the "flip to finish". Cannot find anything online to help with this issue. So frustrating for a uch an expensive pump to have this happen.

Faulty bags

I have used Willow for both of my babies (previously for my now 2YO and currently still for my 8MO) and I have never had this issue, but have received bags that are not closed properly and resulting in either not being able to use it or them leaking milk (before I knew of the problem)

Hard to get milk out

Lots of lost milk in trying to get the milk out of the bag. Seems like a lot gets left in the bad too bc of the shape.

Love love love

I love being able to throw it in the fridge/freezer and not worry about it leaking.
I wish they were a bit cheaper. I’m glad I have the reusable container for a back up when I run out of bags.
