[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As always, HP produces a fine computer, nice features, nice layout, etc. My one complaint is that the free trials of McAfee and Microsoft Office do not offer a way to convert one's existing licenses to the new computer. Instead, one is constantly reminded to purchase them. Please fix this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came in the mail a month ago and it’s such a step up from my Macbook Pro that was quitting on me. I love Windows software and I LOVE the ability to use my laptop like a tablet when needed. The pen in tablet mode is so helpful for taking notes, and perfect for classes like Organic Chemistry when drawing the complicated structures. It’s also lightweight and quiet when running. Perfect for college and anything else you need this laptop to do.

I used to for a week and when the battery ran out (via playing music) it died. it would not turn back on. and since i would have to crack open the back of the machine to do a battery pull... I had to SEND it back to HP to fix in order not to void my warranty... so now I've been without my computer since late April (it is now mid-May). plus, the screen periodically flashed (when it DID work)…Never know why it did.. maybe a driver issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It didn't take long to realize I had made a terrible (and expensive) mistake. It crapped out after a few months. I saved up and bought this HP Envy and I couldn't be happier with it. Easy to use, attractive, I've never needed to use the customer service, but I'm sure it is as good as the laptop. They last a loooong time. When it is time again, I will definitely get another HP. Without a doubt.
