Exceeded Expectations!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We chose the Samsung Terrace to hang in our backyard as the spot receives about 3 hours of direct sunlight per day. The choice to go with Samsung was name brand, reviews and the only outdoor TV with smartTV applications. It has not disappointed! The anti-glare feature allows for full color in direct or non-direct sunlight with a great picture. The smart tv allows me to stream Xfinity cable as well as other services(Netflix, Hulu, etc) for local sports or movies for the kids in the backyard. Only an outlet was necessary. The volume on the tv itself isn’t bad, but being that it’s Bluetooth-enabled, I hooked up portable sonos speakers that can be placed wherever. I can always add the sound bar when needed.
In all, it has down everything I’ve asked and has made the larger ticket price definitely worth it!

Great TV, but compromised experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the TV and its features. Great features: the picture, ability to display artwork, etc., and that's what's most important. But everything else about the TV is not so great. SOFTWARE: performance is erratic. Sometimes it's very responsive, sometimes it sits there while you try to navigate, so you keep pressing remote buttons thinking it didn't get it the first time, then it executes all your button presses which of course messes up whatever you were trying to do. Some Apps are not working, even after I try all the troubleshooting procedures. REMOTE: I love the concept of the minimalist design, but the result is horrible. Some buttons have multiple functions depending on context, which is really efficient. But the different functionalities are not documented ANYWHERE. Yet the minimalist design includes buttons that in practice will never be used! Why clutter the device with them? The remote is not backlit, which means that in a darkened room I constantly hit the wrong button, often causing me to exit whatever I was viewing. USER GUIDES: The manual for the remote is worse than useless, because not only does it not document much of the remote's functionality, what it does document includes incorrect information! And the User Guide itself is awful. For example, I still can't figure out whether my unit supports PIP. Supplemental info online isn't any better. CONCLUSION: Great TV, but mediocre software, remote and manuals really take away from the experience.

Great piece for living room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use it for Streaming, Movies, & Sports. It does a great job from the point of a processor in TV. The picture stays extremely clear in all kinds of action. We are very pleased with the lighting as our 55" Frame Tv stays stays clear in a very bright room with a lot of windows. My wife loves the ability to turn off the TV and be able to view a picture which is the point of the TV. Many visitors comment about that ability to view it as a picture. People love that.

Everything I wanted!

The fact that I can use my own pictures using the “smart things” app is great.
We have the TV in our bedroom and we use it to display newborn pictures of our son. The size is perfect for our bedroom. Couldn’t be happier with the TV.

Love the picture but not the bottom menu

Thank you for choosing The Frame TV and for your review. Please know that you can customize the Smart Hub by removing apps from or adding apps to the home screen. You can also rearrange apps to your liking. Simply select an app, press & hold the Enter key. You will see a popup menu with options to move or remove it.
You can also choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > General > Smart Features
1) When you set Autorun Smart Hub to on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on. 2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. Please know that the Last App Used function may not work with all apps.

Design and Clarity

The overall quality is very fine, from the styling, to the clarity of picture, including ability to see well from an angle (at least 30 degrees), and the ease of access.
