Broke to soon

Worked good for 2 years then suddenly stopped. Visited this website to find the manual but the manual isn't here. The LED on the drive comes on for 1 second then turns off. A manual wold tell me if that was normal operation or if the drive is broke. Drive cannot be read by Xbox or PC.
