Rarely even works - Avoid this

The majority of the time, this does not work.
Removing the battery usually doesn't fix the issue either.
Removing and reading to my home makes it work for less than a day.
I regret buying this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great switch, poor energy usage.

This switch could be brilliant. If not for the battery drain issue. Battery is dead in 48 hours. I bought 10 of these switches 2 years ago and have been hoping they would fix the issue via a firmware update, but the issue remains two years later. Do not buy these. I really wish I could recommend them as they are easy to setup with Apple Home and easy to configure. Cost of batteries and time lost swapping out batteries is not worth it.

My original one failed for a reason nobody could figure out. The replacement wouldn’t connect at first, but finally did on its own.
I would recommend this to a friend!
