Even with Thread it works horrible

Wemo Stage, I got two because I was excited to use them finally on thread. But after two weeks or more it keeps getting into trouble disconnecting constantly at the same distance as my Eve Door Sensor which is working fine from the same distance…. No battery improvements and its just about 4 meters away from a HomePod mimi and other Nanoleaf essential lightbulbs. Why isn’t this working as a real Thread device? I am so disappointed…
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice Design(when it works)

It's a nice design and much better than the Eve Button it replaced. The issue I am having is that it continuously becomes unresponsive and the solution is to remove the battery. If that needs to happen as often as it has then why make the battery impossible to remove without a tool? Very frustrating since I just want it to turn my lights off at night ... so instead of a simple button push I have to pull this thing apart, find a small blade screwdriver and remove the battery. This will probably just end up in a drawer with all of the other useless items I have. My other Wemo switches also become unresponsive from time to time, was hoping that Thread support would solve some of this. Other brand switches I have are rock solid, why the Wemo products keep crashing I am not sure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor battery. Only good for 30 days

This product needs a firmware updated improve battery life otherwise waste

Only reason I’m writing it three stars no thread yet so Bluetooth only really slow. Six buttons in HomeKit single press and long press

Great when it works

I bougt 3 of these but i find that they are not reliable to work. I sometimes have to press ther buttom several time to get iy to actually work. I bought these because theree was supposed to be thread support coming. Well it has been about a year now and still no thread,
As is these switches do not work all the time. I would not purchase '

Took a chance.. works great!

Bought for the 'upcoming' thread firmware update, but the Stage Scene Controller works very well via bluetooth in my house! I also do love that this is a native HomeKit device.
Setup and adding to my Home was simple with the NFC tag. Updates are done through the same Home app and are also easy. I like that I don't need to install another app to keep firmware up to date. Buttons are programmed directly in the Home app (or any third party app like Eve) and can be set to individual devices, groups of devices, scenes or even shortcuts. Using a shortcut I have one of my buttons set up to toggle on/off a group of lights!
I'll admit the first day setting up and using this device was a bit touch and go. But since I've mounted it on my wall in the same room as an AppleTV it's been lightning fast to set my scenes without yet missing a command input.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works great on Thread

Works great on a Thread network with v2.9.6. Pretty inconsistent without Thread. Only problem I’ve had is the need to replace the battery since it was shipped with a dead one.
Since thread update the battery only lasts about two - three weeks with moderate usage. Please fix
