Barely recognizes button presses

I purchased this to replace my Philips Hue Dimmer Switch that I use for applying 4 different HomeKit scenes for my lighting since it has issues recognizes button presses. For instance, pressing a button would result in only a 25% chance of it actually registering within the Philips Hue system, taking multiple attempts to turn the lights off.
I was hoping the Wemo Stage would be as solid as the other Wemo products I use within HomeKit. Unfortunately, it’s just as bad as my Hue setup if not worse. It was a huge waste of money and effort. I have also lost hope in Thread functionality to ever be released. And also cannot trust Belkin products for future uses. I will stick with the TP-Link (Kasa) system with my Raspberry Pi homebridge implementation.

Doesn't work - Customer support Non-existant

Got the Stage connected to my iPhone no problem. Buttons on Stage do not trigger automations. I can trigger on my phone via "Test this automation". Every time I call customer support I either get routed to the wrong place or get hung up on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unreliable and a battery hog!

I purchased two Wemo Stage Scene controllers on January 31st, 2023 and promptly added them to my Homekit. It is now March 1st, 2023, and for the last 3-4 days, the units have been stuck on "Updating" and were not operable. Last evening, I replaced both batteries and had to reconnect them to my Homekit. Both still stated "Updating" upon doing so. This morning, they appear to be connected. If these consume batteries this quickly, I will return them and find a different option.

The is totally an unexpected behavior, and we'd like to check this out further! The Wemo WSC010 uses a CR2032 coin cell battery that is designed for long-lasting use. Too slow without Thread

Unfortunately this product is far too slow. It takes several seconds between pushing the button and the Home Hub triggering the automation. When Thread is enabled it’s probably going to be much better.

Weak magnet, poor response

The magnet in the wall plate is weak so care must be taken not to knock the controller off the wall when using it. Scenes are often not set on the first button press. The controller illuminates a light to show when a button press has been performed, and inexplicably the product does not respond to multiple button presses in a short period of time (e.g., push button 1 and then push button 2 to set two different scenes). I will be returning or discarding this.

Needs WiFi.

Didn’t realize it’s BT only right now. Thread support meads to be activated. Right now it’s useless. My hub is across the house-too far away to connect. I’ll update review once thread support is activated and I can connect with WIFI.

Works only sporadically

I was excited to get this to control my homekit devices (mostly lights). I set up the scenes in the Home app and assigned them to the Stage Scene controller. It worked once, but then I noticed I had to click the button several times to make it trigger the scene again. I just counted the number of clicks required, and it FINALLY triggered the scene after 21 clicks. Useless. Will be returning.
