These are nice when they work, which in my experience is about 50% of the time. The buttons are extremely difficult to press in a way that actually actuates them, so some button presses don't work because of that. However, there are also many instances where the button is properly actuated (as indicated by the light that comes on) but there is simply no response. Also, the magnet that holds the remote in the wall plate is very weak. I've had two guests at the house who hit the button and on both occasions the remote fell out of the plate and hit the floor. The idea behind these is great, but in my opinion the execution here leaves a lot to be desired.

This is a great concept. It is fairly easy to connect to HomeKit. Sometimes the triggered devices are slow to react or do not react at all. I am using bluetooth, hopefully the thread update will fix this.

Hi, MiScKr,
Please make sure that your home hub is using the latest software. Allow us to have your Wemo WSC010 checked with our Product Experts at WemoCares@belkin.com with your contact info and the link of this review, for our reference.
You have click twice to make it work (once to wake it up), that's if it works. Overall, it's very flaky.

It doesn’t work consistently. It works maybe 5% of the time it is pressed. Maybe less.

Great Promise, Poor Execution

I don't need customer support, so please don't suggest that Wemo. What I need is the update for Thread support. Bluetooth is slow and unreliable and makes this product almost completely unusable. Wemo should have waited until Thread support was ready to release this. I recommend anyone not to buy this until it has been updated to active the Thread radio. It's too slow, unreliable, and frustrating on Bluetooth alone like all Bluetooth accessories are.

Hi NonFungibleMarco,
We have taken note of your feedback. Our team is still finalizing our Thread certifications. Once ready, a new firmware update will be available for the Wemo Stage Scene Controller WSC010 to support Thread.
For more questions, you can email us at WemoCares@belkin.com, with the link to this post, for our reference.
Fairly simple to program but not very responsive. Have to press multiple times often to get it to work. Hopefully firmware updates will make it more reliable. Feels cheap considering it's fifty bucks.

Slow Response and Weak Magnet... and no Thread yet

I bought this with the plan to setup a Thread based system with homepod minis and nanoleaf Thread compatible bulbs. Unfortunately I didn't read the fine lines where they disclosed that Thread is not yet enabled and they have provided no timeline for when the Thread update will be released. With only bluetooth available it is mostly non-functional. As a light switch alternative, you would want it to be instantly responsive on the first button press. This product is very slow if it works at all. Sometimes it will trigger a scene after two or three button pushes... sometimes not at all.
Additionally, the magnet is very weak. I have it on the wall next the light switch and it is constantly falling off the mount with just a light touch of someone reaching for the light switch.
It's a good product idea but released way before it was ready for primetime. I may wait it out another month or two to see if the Thread update comes. But for now it will sit unused in a drawer. Very disappointing for such a high priced item.
I will update this review if and when the Thread update comes.

Sort of works

It’s cheaply made. Sometimes the buttons do what you expect within five seconds. Sometimes they don’t do what you expect at all. Have had it for four days and battery is at 82%. Glad we bought one because we were planning to outfit our whole house with them, and now we know not to.
A couple pros, though: HomeKit integration worked the first time and setup was a breeze.
