Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Frigidaire dehumidifier lasted 20 years. I purchased a new Frigidaire dehumidifier, and my first observation was how quiet it was when running. I have had it now for one week. I have nineteen years and fifty one weeks to go to match the run lifetime of the old one. Hopefully this one will out live the old one. Time will tell.

Yet Another Excellent Product From Fridgidaire!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace the older version of this same dehumidifier. The old still works and it stayed in a sealed crawl space in the humid south. It’s 9 years old. I got a new one since I replaced my 18 year old HVAC. This thing extended the life of my old HVAC (which was still working just inefficient after 18 yrs). I use a hose and set this up on a table so the hose runs down and outside to continuously drain. Zero mold. Dramatic air quality difference in the crawl and HVAC/whole house. Highly recommend this. An expensive dehumidifier added to the HVAC is thousands. You could buy 10 of these for that cost.

Amazing!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this dehumidifier, I knew I had a moisture issue in my condo, I replaced my a/c, keep it at 74 degrees with fans on all the time so never could have imagined or understood why I was getting mildew on black clothes, leather goods and furniture. I set up my dehumidifier in my bedroom and it was filling up with water (22 pints) daily.

High Quality - Dependable Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son has 3 of these units at his 2 story house with basement in Maine. He doesn't have a HVAC. He highly recommended this de-humidifier to me after 1.5 yrs of usage. I live in Austin, TX where the humidity climbs to 60% during days of continued rain or humid air flow off the Gulf of Mexico. I have a new HVAC (2.5 Ton 65 SEER), but I have to run it at freezing temperatures to reduce the humidity when it climbs into 60's%. But, not any more! I use the 22 pint Frigidaire when the above conditions occur & it restores humidity to my comfort level in less than 1 day. My apartment is 1,900 sq ft. The unit weighs 33 lbs, has 4 *quality* wheels & is easy to operate on manual or it can be programmed to come on for X hours or when the humidity level climbs outside your comfort zone. It's attractive and takes up the space of a medium sized indoor garbage container. When registering the product I discovered the unit is actually an Electrolux (see picture). Electrolux bought Frigidaire in 1986. I love Electrolux products / appliances!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love to be able to fully disable the water system. I don't have a water line and it periodically tries to fill a tank and I worry about the motor.
Otherwise the use of space and quality is great.
