Works fine, but noisier than advertised

Bought in the spring, and used almost daily. Works fine, but nowhere close to the 41 db advertised. Using the noise meter app from NIOSH this is what I see:
low: 61 db
medium: 65 db
high: 68 db
low: 61 db
medium: 65 db
high: 68 db
No hose used. To be sure, it is working and sometimes preferable to A/C.

We are sorry to learn the dehumidifier doesn't meet all your expectations. We don't recommend using apps to test the noise level as most apps don't comply with sound level meters' standards.

Excellent brand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First brand I found that I trust. I now have three of these units (of different sizes) All of them work great and are quieter than my previous dehumidifiers. I use two of the units in garage spaces and the third in a beach house.
I definitely like the hose attachment is on the back of the unit rather than trying to connect the hose inside the unit like my previous units. No channel locks required to connect hose.

It has been trouble free and has taken gallons of water out of the place where we keep some of our most treasured items. Since we can set the desired humidity level, it keeps the room at the perfect humidity for our musical instruments that reside there.

Stopped the mold and mildew
