GETS THE JOB DONE!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this dehumidifier after we bought a house built in the 1950's which didn't have a bathroom fan. Placed it in the hallway across from the bathroom and it's AMAZING how much water it pulls from the air. My husband was pretty skeptical (thinking it was a waste of money), but now he is a believer! It really gets rid of the bathroom humidity AND helps in keeping our Florida home cooler.

Does the job!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for our basement after several days of heavy rain which caused a mildew smell. Ran this for a day and had to empty the bucket morning and night. It worked very well to greatly improve the air quality. We now have it on a hose to the sump pump and set it to a certain humidity and don't even mess with it. I love the options it has!

Not as good as an earlier model Frigidaire LAD504DUL Mfg. code 05/11

1. Air intake is in rear of unit instead of in front. Thus does not allow unit to be placed flush against a wall. Needs minimum of 12" from rear and sides.
2. Bucket design sucks!!
a. Earlier model has hand-hold scoop in front so that bucket could be easily removed. NO FRONT HAND-HOLD SCOOP in this unit! Only slight indentions on each side. Must be extremely careful when trying to remove bucket far enough out of unit so that you can reach handle on top of bucket, or else water splashes out.
b. Handle on bucket does not feel as strong as on earlier model. Bucket itself feels cheap!

Re: previous model LAD504DUL. LOVED IT!!! Two weeks ago compressor stopped working but fan still works. Wife is not patient enough to allow me to try to get unit fixed. So for domestic tranquility (whatever that means) I bought this new Frigidaire dehumidifier.
Would like to find experienced Frigidaire service repair person/place in order to get previous Frigidaire unit fixed.

Great quality dehumidifiers!
