Slow to Fill!
on July 1, 2020
Posted by: GailPB
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this dehumidifier as a replacement for a 50-pint one that malfunctioned. Even though it is supposed to be the new equivalent of the old one, it is nowhere near as capable of filling up as quickly. In fact, I borrowed my neighbor’s old 50-pint dehumidifier and did a test with both in the same humid basement on the same day. The old one filled up much faster on the same settings. I don’t think I will be buying a Frigidaire again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We set this up on the top of my stairs, at night we all sweat and thought if we bought this dehumidifier, it would prevent that! I am pleased to announce that it works splendidly and very happy with my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a 35 pint to replace my 50 pint that was on warranty. Supposed to be the same thing, but this one does not shut off

unequal replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced, under warranty, an Electrolux 50 pt. unit that died. The Electrolux unit worked great, I could set it to 35 - 40% humidity and it would reach that goal easily. The new unit ran on continuous mode for 4 days and then I set it to 40% and after 2 weeks, it can only reach 50% humidity level. I would not recommend this product.

the first dehumidifier lasted one year, the replacement dehumidifier is of a lesser capacity. not very happy.
Response from frigidaire.comBy Corletta , Outreach Social Specialist , October 9, 2020
Hi Pump, Thank you for your feedback! The Department of Energy has changed the required pint sizes on new models. Therefore, if you receive a replacement and are shopping for a new dehumidifier you may not receive the pint size you previously owned. The new pint size operates the same as the previous sizes and the you should expect the same performance. For additional questions or concerns, please take a moment to chat with us at Frigidaire.com or call us at 877-435-3287. Our Customer Care and Live Chat teams are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-8 pm EST. ~Corletta

Good product for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago, have it on 50% and it's rarely even kicked on yet. I'm guessing this is due to the time of year, fall. However, I did read that someone said it was loud, I have not found that to be the case.
