Never stops running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is poorest performing dehumidifier I've ever owned. Bought it to replace an older, noisy unit and the basement hasn't gotten to 50% humidity since. First unit in 25 years that wasn't up to the task. Electric bill noticeably higher with this supposed energy star unit. Would not recommend.

First, we need to measure your room’s humidity percentage with a moisture meter.
Second, we need to set your dehumidifier to run at maximum settings.
Third, let it run for an hour.
After that, return to the room and measure the humidity percentage again. Next, we need to lower the humidistat level so it will continue to remove moisture from the space. Additionally, kindly check if the timer may have been accidentally turned on.

Outstanding Machines

Our old unit just di not do the job. My daughter's recommendation to purchase thr Frigidaire units based on how hers works was spot on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this to try a different brand of dehumidifier since the last 2 only lasted a combination of 5 years total. So far it’s worked great. The only thing I miss on this one is the option for it to shut off once the level of humidity it’s set to is reached. we have it set to 50 and it was at 45 when I checked it and still running. Only shuts off when bucket is full.

My old one took several days to get my basement humidity level down to a satisfactory level. This dehumidifier too the level in my basement from 72 down to 45 in less than a day. My old unit could never get it down that much. I hope to get a second Frigidaire dehumidifier for the other room in my basement next year. I am extremely pleased with this dehumidifier and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient dehumidifier at a very reasonable price.

I bought the 35 Pint Dehumidifier for a finished room in my basement and will most likely be buying a second one in the Spring as the unfinished portion of my basement also needs one. It is the perfect size for me, a 65 year old woman, to lift, carry, and empty a distance away without spilling.
