New 35 pt is working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Frigidaire 35 pt dehumidifier replaced an oversized 70 pt (another brand) unit that had failed after 5 years of near-constant basement use. The Frigidaire unit sounded like a closer fit for our needs. It seems to work well, and it's reasonably quiet. We have it hooked up for direct drain, but their connection is for a hose and our need was for plastic tubing so we had to buy an adaptor. Also, the filter snaps on and off for cleaning whereas the old unit had one that slid in and out, which was easier. Otherwise, it all seems good.

Does the job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using it for my 800 sq ft finished semi-basement in Westchester county NY where standard humidity during summer time is about 60% with occasional spikes up to 70-80 when i'm trying to keep the patio door open during summer time and rains.
I always run it at the lowest fan setting with occasional high/mid. It is slightly louder than advertised 47 db, actually 50-52.
Bucket change happens every day during humidity spikes, and ever y 2-3 days during normal run.
I rated it as good, not excellent, because for the given price i would like to have more smarter controls, like scheduler or auto mode fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the dehumidifier. Replacing one in the cellar that was very old and noisy. I have some old window air conditioners from 2007 and 2008 still going strong have replaced some older ones last year and this with new Frigidaire ACs. Very happy with them.
