Frigidaire 35 gal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Frigidaire dehumidifier from my local hardware store which only carries high-quality products and and Service contracts if you want them. I purchased this unit for my garage. The garage gets incredibly musty, moldy, and smelly when I am constantly needing to bring in my wet car,This unit is plenty powerful to dry up all the puddles my wet car creates Big puddles and a lot of humidity. The dehumidifier dried up the puddles which prevent mold from growing. and discourages various insects from making webs and nests there.
Using a humidifier, dries the air and prevents “web “ moths from making your garage their “nursery” . This type of moth eats your wool, silk , and fur clothing . One fertilized female carries 1000 eggs.. The worm stage eats your clothes and spreads very quickly!

The garage based moths took over my house!
My dehumidifier in my garage is preventing that crisis from ever happening again. The humidifier in my house I moved from closet to closet again preventing the development of this insect in the closets. Well, worth the investment.!!

Terrible Product and Service!

Very poor performance! I received this last week as a replacement for my previous one which malfunctioned. It does a very poor job of collecting moisture from the air. After hours of running in a humid basement, there were only about two inches of water in it. I then borrowed my neighbor’s old dehumidifier, and as soon as I set it up, it started working immediately and was almost full in the same amount of time as this one. And both were equivalent in size. I contacted customer service FOUR times, twice by live chat and twice by phone, and each time I was promised that a representative would call me back. That never happened. I will call again today. This is a terrible product and is not worth the expense. Very disappointing service!

Simple to use, works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this after a flood in a bathroom poured over into a bedroom all over the laminate floors and rugs and needed to try and pull out moisture from the floor boards. I couldn’t believe how much water it collected especially as I live in the desert. Was able to save my floors.

Nice Unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] According to the retailed who we bought this unit from (a local dealer, not a big box store), they suggested to put the unit at 50%. We did - and it shut off and never came back on. I'm not sure if that's because it's been cold and there's very low humidity this time of year, or if the unit is not functioning properly. I am concerned.

Great dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bought a smaller dehumidifier and ran it for 24 hours with minimal results. The room is very cold at about 50 degrees and very moist being an add on room right next to the ocean. I Bought this one and it immediately started drawing the moisture out of the air. It went from in the high 60% to 35-40 in. Very short time.

Scammed on Warranty

This is a replacement from Frigidaire for a faulty dehumidifier. My original dehumidifier had a 5 year warranty on the compressor. The replacement dehumidifier only has a 1 year warranty on the unit including compressor. So as it stands, I am getting scammed out of three years of warranty.

The unit stopped working after 6 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit for my Mom because she has arthritis and is very sensitive to humidity. The unit stopped working in 6 months. The unit was still warranty so Frigidaire provided a replacement. The replacement has stopped working and just turns off by itself after a few minutes.
