Good day! We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. One of our main goals is customer satisfaction, and we will be happy to use your feedback and experience in hopes that we can better serve your needs in the future. I can see that you are working with our customer care team toward a resolution. If your dehumidifier displays an EC code, try to unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. If the display reads "EC" , check the following operating conditions: the outlet voltage should be 115 volts, and the surrounding temperature should be in the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. In the event that the tips provided do not resolve your concerns, please connect with us via live chat or by phone at 1-800-374-4432. Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. EST, and we will be happy to assist. - Christi

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
on June 2, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: it does indeed dehumidify my upstairs. The bad: it’s a bit loud, which is understandable. One feature that’s disappointing is that you cannot change the humidity settings in single number increments - only five percentage increments. The ugly: it practically has NO Wi-Fi capabilities. Once you connect, it will not even stay connected for more than five minutes, THEN you have to go through the ENTIRE, lengthy setup process again (which fails multiple times before it “succeeds”). I have great internet, but did have to turn off any semblance of a VPN to enable.
Did I mention it DOES take water out of the air? Since this is why I bought it in the first place, I guess I shouldn’t complain. Would I recommend? No.

Wi-Fi don’t work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Followed instructions on app it said it connected then it lost connection and I cannot get it to connect or back into set-up mode. I can’t find instructions and all web searches show others are having same problem.
Seems like a good dehumidifier but I bought it for the controls and Wi-Fi feature. I am pretty disappointed for a Wi-Fi feature not having simple directions somewhere on the World Wide Web makes me think that there not a solution. I have spent thousands on Frigidaire appliances my only disappointment is this units Wi-Fi and instructions to fix. I am an IT professional so I can only imagine what others are feeling.

Do not purchase. Frigidaire app does not connect to the dehumidifier so it does not serve intended purpose.

Very happy with my Frigidaire 50 Pint Dehumidifier with Wi-Fi
on August 3, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Frigidaire dehumidifier over a year ago and was very satisfied with its performance. Humidify levels drop quickly when the unit is used. However, this spring it failed to work and I contacted Frigidaire to determine how best to get it serviced. Frigidaire sent me a replacement humidifier that I liked even better than the original. With such great support from this company I purchased a second humidifier for my up-north cabin. This new unit has a Wi-Fi connection which allows me to check humidity levels and control all of the unit's functions from home. I have used both systems now for over a month and I am very pleased with how well they work. I especially like the Wi-Fi connection that allows me to know that my up-north system is functioning well. Frigidaire dehumidifiers are easy to install and very simple to setup. I highly recommend them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unit had a cracked side panel and was defective upon delivery. Tested it for a week. Not one drop of water was collected in the bucket.
Response from frigidaire.comBy Angel, Online Outreach Specialist, June 29, 2023
Hello, Fzadeh!
We are deeply sorry to hear that the appliance falls short of your expectations. We value your input and want to make sure you only have good experiences with us moving ahead. Regarding not collecting water issue, we recommend for you to check if the unit have display lights illuminated. The recommended RH% (relative humidity) setting by the industry for health and safety is between 40% and 60%. Achieving a comfortable humidity level is more important than collecting water. Select a RH% on the unit. If you are unsure what to set it at start at the upper limit and work down day by day until a comfortable setting is reached. The lowest possible setting is normally 35%. The dehumidifier will produce the most water when the RH is 60% or above. As the RH approaches 40% very little water can be extracted from the air. This is normal. As the relative humidity decreases the amount of water in the air decreases. Dehumidifiers do not collect water when the temperature and RH is low. The fan speed should be set depending on the room size, temperature and relative humidity. When the room temperature is warm and RH is high the fan speed can be set to high to speed the dehumidification process. When temperatures and RH is low set the fan speed to low. This allows the air to reach lower a dew point collecting more water. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us via Live Chat or call us at 1-800-374-4432 Monday-Friday 8:30 am-8 pm EST and we will dive right in. We look forward to hearing from you! -Angel
