Good unit that draws a ton of water from the air!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit does what it's supposed to. We bought three of these for house, and I registered all three to wifi. I had to register each unit twice for some reason, but after they were registered, I could find out what the humidity was and turn on and off the units remotely, which was helpful while we were out of town! I wish the app could tell us more about the units, such as the humidity even while they were off, what times the units were actually running, how much water was in the tank. The timer function of the app could be more advanced, such as programming what time of day the units could turn on/off, etc. These would be great enhancements to the app! Otherwise, the units work well and reliably!

Decent dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dehumidifier is good enough but the app has some issues as others have noted before. The notification for the tank being full can only be seen when the app is opened, which is really inconvenient as I have to open the app multiple times a day. So the wifi capacity is basically for remotely turning the machine on or off. Ionizer can only be turned on through the app and when you turn the machine is turned off, the ionizer setting in the app is also turned off.

Happy humidity is down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The unit is quiet and works well. The only issue I’ve had is that the unit has automatically shut off a couple of times with a dirty filter warning despite the filter being spotless.

Good humidifier BUT app needs update for notifications to be useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this model on the strength of the Wirecutter review which touted its wifi connection and notifications (e.g., empty bucket or clean filter). As a dehumidifier it is fine, easy to operate, nice design, but unfortunately, I didn't realize that I would need to log in to view the notifications--there is NO push, email, or text notification option in the settings. Which for me kind of defeats the purpose since I still need to remember to log in to check and in the time it takes to do that I can just go downstairs. Hopefully they update the app. Again, the dehumidifier works fine, but with the current limited functionality I would probably have just bought the model with the pump instead.

We are currently working to update the bucket full notification so you may not receive a notification at this time. As long as you have notifications for the Frigidaire App enabled in your settings, you should get push notifications as well as an in App notifications. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dehumidifier itself works well; there's little to complain about. However, the smart features are lacking. You'd expect a dehumidifier that connects to the internet to be able to notify you when the tank is full, but no, all the app does is let you change the settings, which I've never needed to do remotely anyway.

The humidifier works well, but no notifications when the bucket is full?? I feel I’ve been mislead. One of the main reasons for purchasing this. Won’t buy another

Fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing has been a LIFESAVER in this especially hot and humid Washington, D.C. area summer. Our A/C went out twice on the hottest days of the year, but we were able to withstand it because this machine pulled out all of the water from the air that seeped in from outside. The first time, we were emptying the tank every 12 hours or so! If you have this drying out your air and your A/C is working properly and transferring all of the heat outside, it ends up feeling very comfortable, almost frigid, as you approach your thermostat presets. Don't worry about the dehum itself blowing out hot air, that's how it works and it does not add more "work" for your A/C to do. Looks good in the room, relatively quiet, WiFi is...ok (app is slow and doesn't always like to log in, but we just leave it on auto), and the tank is easy to empty. HIGHLY recommend for anybody living in a humid area any time of year!
