Dehumidifier that works but isn't a true smart appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got prompted for a review several weeks after I received it so I can't speak to its longevity but it takes water out of the air and that's what it's supposed to do so I'm happy with it's main functioning. My main complaint is that the app works poorly. It's not just that the app regularly disconnects, requiring resetting the app for it to connect again, but the app is so simple - there's no scheduling function and this was a major reason I wanted a smart appliance. Contrary to advertising the machine makes a fair bit of noise so I find myself constantly having to turn it on or off from upstairs as I'm working from home on meetings. PLEASE make this app functional by including a scheduling function, this is such a small task to code. I would just use a mechanical wall outlet timer but because the dehumidifier isn't mechanical that wouldn't work either. So I'd say to Frigidaire: Pick a lane. Either make a smart appliance with functionality, or a mechanical appliance that can be set on a wall timer. Because this version is effectively less functional than a dehumidifier from the previous century.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this model because of the Wi-Fi. We lost power and I tried to turn it on by your app. It needs to be unplugged and we are out of town. If I had known this I certainly would not have bought it. We don’t have someone right next door and our driveway is full of snow which makes this extremely inconvenient.

Perfect Option for Rental Properties!

I bought this specific model for the Wi-Fi capabilities. I didn't want a unit that would run constantly and because I don't live at the property, I needed something I can control remotely and so far, so good!

Great Appliance… no more ice on windows

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great appliance to remove the humidity from a large room. We put ours at pur entryway and the windows in the upstairs are humidity free… how nice that our front door doesn't freeze shut anymore!!!!!!!!!
