A Solid Performer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does what one expects, which is dehumidify a good-sized room. The smart features are a nice bonus, although I wish there were a bit more customizability in the app. For example, nowhere do I see an option to choose to turn on notifications to my phone from the app itself (I assume since I allowed notifications in the phone operating system, this means I will get notifications to my phone when applicable (haven't had to empty unit yet). Still, it would be confidence-inspiring to know I could turn off notifications from the app, or even choose which ones I wanted (for example, only "empty bin," and not "clean filter")
Also, it seems like "Auto" is the only setting that turns the dehumidifier off when a set humidity is reached. When I set it to "low," with a humidity level of X, as far as I can tell, the unit does not switch off once that level is reached. Auto is described as varying the fan speed and humidity automatically (can't choose it), but the assumption is still that the dehumidifier would shut off at the set humidity regardless of whether it is set to "auto," "low" or "high," which does not seem to be the case.

Love the smart app and how quite it is

The only thing that I would love them to do in the future is to create a schedule for it to turn on and off by itself. For example I want it to run every two hours for one hour and Monday to Saturday for example. I love everything else!

A Cut Above the Rest

Setup was easy and the app for my phone is very convenient in setting up and being notified of a full bucket. The bucket is easy to empty. My only regret ... is that I didn't get the 60 pint instead. I was worried it would be too hard to lift. The ease of the 50 pint model proved me wrong. I have it in my garage and it is dryer than it has ever been.

Great unit but warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit works great to control the humidity in my small apartment, about 1000sq ft and it maintains the whole space, only emptying every 2-3 days. The noise level is minor, there are the usual humming and adjustment noises, occasionally there is a buzzing noise which can be obnoxious but I’m fine with as it’s part of the “normal noises” to expect. My only real problem is the amount of heat this thing puts off, some heat is expected based on function but when it can heat my apartment to 78 degrees I’m worried a bit about energy usage. It’s on auto mode to determine best usage and more often than not it is throwing a lot of warm air, but not always. To note we got it in October so it’s been about a month of this happening, it’s in the most open area we can have it as well and is not up against a wall. I’m sure winter will be okay but I’m worried about summer and it fighting with the ac as it’s right next to our thermostat.

Live in the basement

Large capacity and extra features like Wi-Fi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is an upgrade to an older and lower capacity Frigidaire unit that is still working. I just wanted to have a larger one in the finished part of my basement and the old one I moved into the laundry room. The older one with smaller capacity still in great working condition which is why I choose Frigidaire as the brand with my recent purchase. Love that the new one is Wi-Fi so I get alerts from it. Very happy with both units.
