Dead in One Month

Had trouble setting up wi-fi on android, but worked like a charm on iOS, and then I could use the android app. Then I got the EC error code (compressor leak) and have to get it replaced while the humidity rises in my basement for 7-10 days. I really thought I was buying a quality product, but while researching the error code I came across countless complaints of this exact issue online.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 50 pint dehumidifier from Frigidaire based on many high quality reviews compared to other brands of the same size. This unit is an absolute beast and very efficiently pulls moisture from the air. In a small humid room, this unit impressed me by just having to run for what seems like a minute before it reached the desired 50% humidity level. The Wi-Fi feature actually works great, I was a bit hesitant with some reviews but in my personal experience it has been great and I've made multiple adjustments within a short period of time using the app without having any issues of freezing or not recognizing the changes. The app is great and I really enjoy being able to use it easily. This model also comes with an air ion purifier and I personally think it is a great touch for a room based dehumidifier, however they have an option in the app to turn off the air purifier function. Also I would like to add how beautiful this all white unit looks, it actually compliments my home quite well instead of looking like a mis-shaped R2D2 just hanging out in the corner. The unit has a light to communicate but you can also turn that off via the app and I personally do at night time so my room can be completely dark. Customer service has already been great and I haven't had any issues with my unit but they reached out to me via email after owning it for a couple weeks and asking how the unit is doing. I decided to write a review because I am genuinely pleased with my purchase.

Wifi keeping cutting-off and tech support is not upto the expectation. Take long time to get a reply & case is referred to IT dept. but still no reply from IT after 2 weeks.

I bought this one month ago but there is disparity between app and panel of the dehumidifier. I thought it has a built-in pump but it did not have as rt.now i have an issue with draining water as it has to pump against gravity but feature is not there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I selected this make/model because of its high capacity and WiFi connectivity. The built-in ionizer and Quick Glance light are also nice to have. So far, it’s winning the battle against mildew in my finished attic (upstairs from a bathroom without a fan). I will very likely purchase another of the same model for my basement. I like the appearance of the control panel, with white LEDs for the two-digit display and other indicators. The Quick Glance light looks very stylish when it glows blue. Currently, I have to use the bucket, which holds a large amount of water and id easy to carry and empty without spilling. Eventually, I plan to connect a drain hose to my dehumidifiers. Improvements I would recommend: Give the ionizer its own button and LED. Give the WiFi app more features, such as history and data logging. Do something about it often losing its WiFi connection. Put the control panel on a 45 degree angle instead of flat on top, for better visibility. Move the air intake so it can be against a wall. Despite these recommendations, this is a very nice machine that I am proud to own.

App Not As Advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this dehumidifier for 1 whole day. It seems to work and function fine so far. However I have one huge disappointment. One of the big reasons I bought this particular model was the statement on this page (at least as of 5/5/2021) that says "create custom schedules" with the app. That's not an actual feature within the app...at least for Android. I was hoping to schedule it to run full blast while we're away during the day or at night while sleeping and cut the fan down or turn off completely while we're home. Total no go. Had I read the app reviews first I'd have clearly seen this has been a known issue for a long time with promises of a fix "soon" for at least months. Lesson learned...if buying something for it's supposed app features read the app reviews before purchase. Hopefully this saves someone else the hassle.

Good at dehumidifying, bad at wi-fi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this dehumidifier for 2 weeks and so far it's done a pretty good job of dehumidifying - it's fast, has a large water tank, and the humidity sensor seems to be pretty accurate. I run mine on the "dry" mode set to 40% humidity. I also like that it has wheels that make it easy to move around. However, the "smart" features are basically nonfunctional because it doesn't stay connected to the wifi. I'm basically using it as if it didn't have these features, which is a waste of money. I'm hoping for an update that will fix these issues.

It Reduces Humidity

However, the light signal is overly complicated and the Wi-Fi access really doesn’t work very well. Finally, when the bucket is full, it is really almost overflowing: You have to be very careful not not to spill water all over when emptying it.
