Wifi won’t stay connected

Works great but breaks down after a little more than one season

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Connecting to the app never worked but we were happy with the operation of this dehumidifier. Only use it in the Summer to keep the basement humidity down. Used it one and a half seasons and when we turned it on this July is did not work anymore. Fan runs but no water comes out.

Not worth the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit itself seems fine, but the whole reason we bought this model was the connected functionality and bucket full notifications via the app. Problem is the app NEVER sends notifications. You have to open the app, and THEN a notification appears in the app timestamped the second you viewed the notification in the app, even if the bucket has been full for hours. I've deleted and reinstalled the app, checked and unchecked all notification settings, rebooted the dehumidifier, my phone, and the router in various combinations with no fix. And forget about getting any support from Frigidaire; I've been trying for weeks, multiple times a day, and their message always states call volume is too high and call back later, then disconnects you.

We are currently working to update the bucket full notification so you may not receive a notification at this time. As long as you have notifications for the Frigidaire App enabled in your settings, you should get push notifications as well as an in App notifications.

Does not push "bucket full" notifications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like for most devices connected to WiFi, one would expect push notifications when the bucket was full. Customer service confirmed this is not true for this unit, which otherwise works great. You have to access the app to see if the bucket is full.Very disappointing to spend extra $$$ when it lacks this basic capability. I have many household devices connected by wifi and they all push notifications of when a basic action is needed or the unit is or isn't functioning correctly.

Don’t bother getting the Wi-Fi version…

I bought the Wi-Fi version assuming it would send me push notifications like every other Wi-Fi enabled device on the planet but it doesn’t! The reason I got the Wi-Fi version and paid more for it to we won’t it would notify me whenever it’s fulll and it’s doesn’t which doesn’t make any sense!!!

Defective unit

We don’t repair dehumidifiers.

That’s what the customer service rep told me when I had issues with the unit within a week of owning it. So, it appears that Frigidaire doesn’t warranty their dehumidifiers. In that case, one is stuck dealing with the seller and if you didn’t buy local, forget it. Don’t toss your packaging/box before you test their products. And buy local with at least a 30-day return.
