Remote app does not work

Purchased last month. Dehumidifier is operating but not the app. The need of operating remote is why we bought this item over cheaper items with no interface feature.

Humidifier Works But Smart WIFI/APP Need Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Humidifier seems to be working great in basement. Pulls out a lot of water and auto function seems to work well, adjusting the fan speed based on the measured humidity level and even turning off the fan completely when the level is low enough. I’ve been using the humidifier about a month in a fairly humid environment (started around 70% humidity) and now the dehumidifier keeps the basement at around 50%+\-5% on auto (confirmed with separate hygrometer).
There is a bit more noise than I was expecting from this dehumidifier (granted this was the first I’ve owned). It sounds a bit like an old refrigerator, maybe a bit louder when on anything but the low setting. There is also some extra vibration that seems to come from the tank. And there is occasionally a fairly loud knocking sound when what I am assuming is the condenser turns off.
The biggest disappointment so far for me though has been the WIFI/Smart app integration. There were some challenges getting the device to connect to WIFI initially (after failing in the app multiple times I had to press and hold down the WIFI button until the device turned completely off (perhaps reset?) before it would finally connect in the app (this was not described in the instructions). The app does not send push notifications when the bucket is full, instead you have to manually go into the app to check to see whether or not the device is stopped because the bucket is full. Very disappointing on something that seems like a basic functionality of a smart/WIFI integrated device. There’s no way of telling how close it’s getting to be full either so without push notifications, I’ve found it just as easy to occasionally run to the basement and empty the device regardless of whether or not it is full. It also seems like it would be really easy to add some kind of schedule capability to the device (e.g. I want it to run at this level and setting between these hours only on these days of the week) but alas the only option available now is to delay the stop of the device, something I have not used. You can change the setting (auto, low, med, high) and turn it off and on via the app but it should be able to do so much more with the higher price tag on this device. I’m hoping to see some upgrades on the App eventually fixing some of the things listed above otherwise I’m not sure it’s worth the extra money for a consumer to invest in the WIFI model.

For an explanation of the normal operating sounds you may hear, please see page 11 in the Use and Care Guide.
We are currently working to update the bucket full notification so you may not receive a notification at this time. As long as you have notifications for the Frigidaire App enabled in your settings, you should get push notifications as well as an in App notifications.
Unfortunately, only a timer is available at this time. We appreciate your feedback and hope we can better serve your needs in the future.

Super loud on quiet mode

I bought this 2 months ago and it was working fine, and pretty quiet. But in Dec, it started run pretty loud and noisy like something is rattling. I have tried to get in contact with their support, but no one ever answers the phone. Also, the app is not useful. It doesn't give you any option to set schedule and select modes for different times of the day other than telling you that the bucket is full.

Good dehumidifier but glitchy WiFi & poor app

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well, looks great. I like the indicator lights that tell you when something goes wrong.
But the app leaves much to be desired. Can’t set a specific humidity level, notifications sometimes don’t show unless the app updates. But this could all be solved with a couple of developers in a month or less. hopefully Frigidaire reads this and sends everyone an app update.

Device is great but the Frigidare app is another story

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this more expensive model for the ability to control the device remotely, however most of the time the app is unusable (as of June 2021). I cannot believe that big companies like Frigidare fall short creating / releasing an adequate solution. The app is seemingly untested and poorly designed. The only thing that seems to work well is the splash screen at startup (which gets annoying after having to restart the app multiple times). Another issue I noticed is that after emptying the bucket I always get a "Bucket full, please empty" notification on my phone. In my opinion a great product is ruined by the poor execution of making the device Wi-Fi controlled. Let's hope that one day the app gets better and the owner experience becomes positive.
