Turn the water supply off

If you turn the water off going to the ice maker it takes the pressure off the line and it makes it so much easier to change the filter

I purchased this over a month ago and replaced. But the refrigerator didn't pick up that it been replaced. Smh

Where are they??

How long is this thing supposed to last? Me and 3 cats going through a filter in 5 months? I don't think so. Plus can't buy replacement here?!

Bad icemaker

im hoping other people have talked about this, my ice maker on model# rf24r7201sr/aa is horrible. the grinding noise it make can be heard in the other room. the ice always comes out broken up. just a little bigger than the crushed ice. i hoping this may be a warranty thing, being its only a few months old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the filter was too tight to change it and when i replaced it, it was good, we were off the home for 2 days and next day when we came the house is flooded with water adn end up in 100 K insurance

Great filter but low flow

So the initial filter was pretty good. It surprised me. It does have low flow. But after using it for 6 months and replacing it I could tell how much crap it cleaned out of our water

Watch for leaks

I bought these about 9 months ago. The first change out was smooth. No leaks as others have mentioned. This is my 2nd attempt to change out the filter. As others said, this time I had hissing and leaking. What a mess. I removed the filter and cleaned up the water. Found out the hard way the drawers cannot be my bucket. They are not solid. Now water in the floor. I put the filter in again and heard a quick hiss and now no water. The instructions say to disconnect your water....I cannot do that on my own. So, I took a chance twice. I think the filter is fine once it clicks in place. DO NOT leave home until you have had a chance to watch for leaks.
I would recommend this to a friend!
