Easy install!!

I installed this filter last week on a 4-door refrigerator and it installed very easily with no leaks at all. I turned off the water first and everything went very smoothly. Good product and our water tastes great.

Works as intended but instuctions are lacking

Water filter works as intended, however the instructional video provided on the Samsung product page has left out a very important detail. To avoid damaging the fridge and to make the replacement smoother, remember to shut off the water line to you fridge.

Easy to replace and never once had a problem with any Samsung filter over 15 years and 2 Samsung refrigerators. You need to insert correctly and lock into place per instructions. Love the integration with SmartThings. Great quality drinking water. Worth the price.

Original Filter Leaking After Reinstalling

I didn’t read the reviews before removing my original filter to make sure I ordered the correct replacement. When I tried to reinsert like instructions for inserting a new one until my new cartridge came, it hissed and leaked all in my drawers. I am terrified to leave it without my frig flooding! I just left it out and hope I can make ice since I had to reset my ice maker! I have no confidence that a new filter will work bc I should be able to stick my original one in as a placeholder.
I have been referring everyone to your product but can’t in good conscience anymore bc if this major defect! Help! What are my options!? Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Let's check all possible solutions to replace your water filter easily.
Your water filter can be changed quickly and should only take a few minutes. Please follow these steps.
1. First, turn off the water supply and then locate the filter. Please consult your user manual if you need help finding where it is. 2. Open the water filter cover and rotate the old filter counterclockwise to unlock it. 3. Then, pull it straight out to remove it from the filter housing. 4. To insert the new filter, first, remove the protection cap from the top of the filter. Then, push it straight into the filter housing and turn it clockwise. 5. Make sure the lock symbol matches up with the indicator line.

hate the water filter

we purchased a complete kitchen of bespoke products. they look great BUT i would like them to come with manuals you don't have to search for online AND i wish i were strong enough to change the water filter in my refrigerator! sheesh people, even my ex-marine, strong friend, could barely get it in his own refrigerator! it says you don't need to turn the water off to change the filter but the pressure behind is too great for me.

Great purchase

We feel great about this purchase. Buying the 4 pack has us covered for a couple years, and it saved a lot of money. We ordered the filters on Tuesday and they arrived on Wednesday! The package comes with a method to verify that the filters are genuine, which I appreciate. Changing the filter was relatively painless. Taking the old one out was a little difficult but the new one went in no problem and i haven't noticed and leaking or other issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What does it do?

I cannot find what this actually filters out. Most refrigerators filters will advertise what all contaminants that it filters out.
