Hate everything about Samsung
on September 2, 2024

The website is stupid. It boasts in several spots that you can save money by purchasing a subscription for the water filter yet there is NOWHERE to actually subscribe. And the page says "it's easy and convenient to subscribe!"

Product Packaging

I always buy Samsung genuine filters. I know you are fighting thefts but at what expense. Honestly I have to work hard to get the filter out of the packaging. The plastic is so hard and no way to open it so I have to cut open the packaging which creates sharp edges and points. Honestly, this is at best dangerous. I really would not want to injure myself just to get the product. Can you please do something to make this better?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You Get What You Pay For...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With off-brand filters, you are not sure if you are filtering your water or contaminating it. With Samsung, I trust that only the finest media and containers are used in all of their consumer products. The filters last up to six months and there is never a question about water quality.

forced Enrollment

Seems impossible to order a filter without being enrolled in that silly monthly plan. I specifically deslected the box for the enrollment twice and each time got enrolled and charged for it.

Seems Prone To Leaking
on June 26, 2024
Posted by: Groll
from Georgia
I purchased a genuine replacement filter using the Samsung Subscription Service. The filter replacement seemed easy enough...unscrew the old filter and screw in the new filter. I did this in the evening and at the time everything seemed ok. I woke up the next morning and my kitchen AND Basement was flooded. Several thousands of dollars in damage. When I removed the new filter I installed I could tell the water was dripping from the plunger/nozzle on the filter housing. Not enough to give any warning at the time of the replacement of the filter. As evident with the numerous bad reviews there seems to be a design flaw or just plain bad engineering with the filtration system. I would highly recommend staying away from Samsung Refrigerators.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
