Incompatible with RO systems.

I send Reverse Osmosis water to my refrigerator. Samsung reminds me to replace my water filter without an option to clear the alert.

Horrible water

The water tastes horrible with my most recent water filter subscription delivery. And good luck cancelling your subscription. No one at Samsung even understands what I mean when I say that I need to cancel my refrigerator water filter subscription. Yeah I know - first world problems. But seriously the water from this water filter tastes worse than from the tap. It has a toxic chemical taste to it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

White residue coming out of filter... bad support

we have had our fridge for about 8 months. bought this replacement filter in dec. now in january we notice that the water coming out of the filter is leaving a white residue behind. our tap water is not doing this. only from this filter. spent 40 minutes trying to get support and just kept getting passed around to extensions. guess i have to pay for a new genuine filter and hope i get a good one. can't get support on this one from the company. its past 15 days for a return so stuck. i'll be sure to test the new one and return at any sign of residue.
buyer beware.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely Awful Packaging. Wear Gloves To Open

This review is strictly for the packaging you put this filter in. I am typing this with fully bandaged hands as you made the plastic impossible to come apart and now I have lost several layers of skin on my hands. I now require assistance doing simple household tasks like using a fork or using the restroom. I hope whoever decided this packaging was right for this filter has a horrible summer and stubs their toe every time they walk to the restroom in the middle of the night.

Great Availabilty

very happy replacement filters are readily available for our Samsung refrigerator.
What would be best is to change the product packing from hard plastic to a paper based package. The hard plastic is very hard to remove and when cut to release the filter the plastic edges are extremely sharp and cause cuts.
I would recommend this to a friend!
