Doesn’t function properly

Has been run multiple times and the soap dispenser will not open so frustrating my old cheaper dishwasher was better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulty you are having with the detergent cup on your new GEA dishwasher and apologize for your frustration and disappointment. If you are using the pod type of detergent, try opening the cup manually to make sure a portion of plastic pod did not get lodged in the dispenser and prevent it from opening. If this is not the case, we encourage you to take advantage of your warranty and call GE Appliances Service out to check the dishwasher for you. We are confident they will be able to remedy this. Quiet and Cleans well

We purchased this product as it was the only panel-ready dishwasher available after COVID to replace our Bosch unit. Positives are that it is very quite and cleans well. Negatives are that you have to press START and close the door within 4 seconds to start the dishwasher; however, it frequently fails to start and you go to unload it and discover it has not washed the dishes. The utensil basket is flimsy (handle comes off) and it is difficult to get it properly seated on the rack. Attaching the panel is extremely difficult compared to the Bosch which was very easy to attach and remove. The Bosch uses two metal clips whereas the GE uses one plastic clip that broke during installation. Whereas the Bosch panel takes minutes to install, it took several hours to install the panel on the GE. The GE door is also not as tall as the Bosch door such that you cannot view the controls when the door is closed. Overall, it seems over-priced for the value, quality and design.

I like our new dishwasher a lot! It looks nice, and is easy to keep clean on the exterior. I like the buttons on top of the door. I just wish it had a drying cycle. It works well and is pretty quiet. I'd highly recommend it!

I did NOT want to buy another GE dishwasher, but had NO options. I also did NOT want stainless exterior. Who makes these decisions!!

Extra Quiet

First 2 time we started the wash cycle the soap did not dispence however, it did start working after the third time and has worked ever since. The washer is very quiet which allows us to run it at night when we go to bed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Streamline and compact!

Very quiet! We love this dishwasher! Special order to fit in a snug spot! Easy to keep clean. Not sure about the controls being at the top, yet makes it easier to see and I don’t have to bend over to see panel.
I would recommend this to a friend!
