Not a fan of rack configuration

The dishwasher cleans okay but I had to buy rack prong extensions. The back, left side had such short prongs that is wouldn't even hold my small salad plates and that was what they showed in their depiction of how to load your dishes. My prior unit was the same brand and I'd loved it. It had the silverware basket on the door. Why they changed a good thing is beyond me. Also, installed, it leaves gaps on the sides.

After having a basic dishwasher for a long time, I thought we needed to upgrade. The dishwasher is not as quite as I thought it would be. Figuring out what I needed to do to make sure the dishes came out dry was difficult. The Dish racks are not customer friendly. The rack were not designed for pots and pans. The silverware holder does not stay in place. I had to hook it to one of the glass holders. After all of the above I got it to where the dishwasher is usable, but definitely not worth the price

We are renters and we recently 'upgraded' to this dishwasher due to a leaky seal in the previous dishwasher. This dishwasher is such a let down. The dishwasher basket isn't held in place very well and the slots in the dishwasher basket are too small to fit many silverware brand handles (mine are Pottery Barn and Cuisinart). The dishwasher tines aren't spaced in a way that holds bowls on either rack. It also doesn't dry dishes well. I've followed the recommendations (hotter cycle, adding rinse agent) but we still have to hand dry quite a few dishes.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience with us. We're so sorry to hear that this dishwasher has been such a let down for you. Your concerns about the dishwasher basket and drying have been noted for our development team to review. We do have a troubleshooting article with some tips to help with drying.
Thus is average at best. It is smaller in size, the silverware basket does not commit well and so bangs around, and th lower rack comes off its path frequently. I would not buy it again.

My choices were limited by low counter height, but I don't feel that this was a compromise choice. It cleans and dries much better and more efficiently than my old dishwasher, even on the Light Wash cycle, just 48 minutes! And it's quieter. To be perfect it would have a third rack (which is impossible, in the limited height) and a more easily adjustable top rack.
