Horrible! Makes a terrible grinding sound

I got this for a Christmas gift and it worked great for about 3 smoothies. Now every time I use it, it makes a terrible grinding noise and I am afraid it is going to melt or break the gears. I have only had it for less than a month!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My latest product to review is the Black and Decker PowerCrush Digital Quiet Blender. I really love this blender and have so many ideas and ways to use it. My first thought was to try and make my own smoothies and milkshakes. They were a big hit in this household! The blender worked very well crushing hard foods such as ice, nuts and vegetables. It worked equally as well on softer foods such as fruits, cheeses, etc. The glass mixing jar is big enough to hold 6 cups and has its own built-in pour spout. The blender has 900 watts of peak power and can easily crush ice. It is equipped with 3 different speeds and smart functions to handle whatever it is that you are making. Removable parts are dishwasher safe so there is easy cleanup. Also included is an 18 ounce single serve blending jar with travel lid. This Black and Decker PowerCrush Digital Quiet Blender is very good quality. And, yes, it is very quiet!! Less noise, more power!! Blender fits nicely on my kitchen counter top.

Love my new blender

I have used this blender multiple times already to make milk shakes for my kids and I love it! It crushes Ice sooo easily, leaving no big chunks behind. I also really love the preset buttons. I literally press the button and walk away and it makes the milk shakes and smoothies perfectly for me and shuts off when finished! It is also more quiet than my previous blender!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't wait to try the Black & Decker PowerCrush Digital Quiet Blender and I was very impressed. First off, it has a modern style appearance. As we use it frequently, it has a spot on my counter and doesn't take up much room. I have used this blender many times already, as have my grown kids. We make shakes, smoothies and other drinks. I make mine in the morning before work. The kids use it more later in the evening. With this blender, it doesn't disrupt the house no matter when you use it. We love how quiet it is. We used to have to pause movies when someone was using the blender, but not anymore! It's quiet and powerful; what more could you ask for! It blends frozen fruits well and easily crushes ice. It is very easy to operate, and the pre-programmed functions are very handy, as is the ingredient slot. I love the travel jar too. I make my morning smoothie right before I leave for work and take it with me. It blends the ingredients very well every time. When done, it is easy to clean or you can pop it in the dishwasher. I can't wait to try making dressing or purees! I would definitely recommend this blender.

Powerful blender with minimal sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to my old blender, this one is much quieter! It'd be impossible for something crushing up ice to be completely silent, but the motor definitely doesn't scream and grind like my older one did. It blended up my smoothies and drinks a lot quicker than what I'm used. The travel cup it comes with was a nice bonus and I use it often to take my smoothies on the go.

Everything you need in a blender

The settings are clearly marked, and cover all the needs I require in a blender. I have not found one task that I needed a blender for that this didn't cover with complete satisfaction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a quite a few blenders, & this is one of favorites. First off it has decent features & looks sharp with the stainless/ black coloration, it has 3 speeds & pulse ability. It doesn't take long to make a smoothie with fresh fruit, it does take quite a while to do frozen though which is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. Super easy to clean, when I'm busy in the morning & on the way out the door I do not have time to disassemble the whole blender to clean, so i do appreciate that there is minimal pieces to clean. It has a ingredient slot so it makes smoothies much faster then just trying to throw everything together. And out of everything that I have made in this blender it is still reasonably quiet so I can still use it in the morning when everyone else is sleeping. Over all its definitely a great buy!
I would recommend this to a friend!
