Purchased keyboard cover based on photo that appeared to be similar to Apple keyboard. It is not. The iPad is not free floating but rather requires the unit to lock down into the keyboard itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Key board disconnects and won’t

Key board disconnects and won’t reconnect sometimes. Have to go to settings and reconnect several times in an hour or two. The delivery time that was said at time of order took several days longer. Never had connection problems with my previous case and keyboard. But the stand kept breaking. Thought I was making a good decision on this one but maybe should have done the other model I was looking at.

Even thought it says 7th generation...I had to look it up to see that Apple calles the new iPad Pro M4 the 7th generation...this case, though wonderful...does not fit. You cannot squeeze the new iPad into it. I returned it and received a note saying that ZAGG hadn't made one yet. I have had another Zagg for my older iPad for years and loved it...that's why I wanted a new one for my new iPad Pro 11" M4. When it comes out I'll get one.

Good features; Takes getting used to

Works well generally. The bluetooth too frequently needs to be “re-paired” with the tablet by turning it off and on again, eliminating the previous (disconnected) pairing, and letting Pro Keys rediscover the device for pairing. Otherwise, many features are appreciated. Compact; sturdy; protective. Friendly mouse trackpad. Arrow keys are effective for sorting and viewing photos. Good one-key zoom-out viewing and instant access to all running apps. Effective Function key and shortcuts. Solid, slightly condensed keyboard size requires careful typing at first, but hopefully you can learn to avoid hitting wrong keys or adding unneeded extra spaces between letters in a word.

This was recommended by a friend and i'm very pleased with it so far. the keyboard has a nice feel and is easy to type on. The fact that it comes off and the case stays on the iPad easily when i want it to is very handy.

I had a Zagg Ipad Keyboard that was 12 years old and was still working for my old Ipad. I purchased the Pro Keys for a new Ipad due to the 6.6 foot drop protection. So far I've been impressed with the easy set up and use. Hopefully I won't eperience a 6.6 ft. drop
