A little fire in my backyard, safe and (mostly) smoke free, gave me a lot of comfort in my life. Starts easily, silent at low fan speed, and surprisingly durable : it met and exceeded my expectations. Must give a special mention for the new mesh and the new paint finish that are, after many fires, still looking new. Little advice : if it smokes, put another log in it to keep a hot "furnace like" area in the middle of your fire. Cooking capacity of the grill is also quite good, even compared to my 2 other Biolite stoves. Good product, maybe the most impressive since first stove.

I love my firepit+ but was disappointed when the battery stopped working. However when I contacted support I was very impressed. Lala Flores from the support team was quick to respond and worked with me diligently to find a solution. It’s good to know they got your back. Thanks Lala!

Loved it until the fan unit melted

Got this for Christmas and love it but on the 3rd use (about 2 hours) the fan/battery unit melted and it stopped working. Fire didn't look any bigger than what is depicted on the website, probably user error. Apparently there is a fire size tolerance for the firepit+. I have contacted BioLite looking to replace the fan unit. Other that this issue it is a great unit and highly recommend it..

Love my new stove! Burns well with the fan, which makes it easier to start as well with tinder. The see through side grates are nice to watch through and send out heat.
Only a couple things I would call out as cons:
1. This firepit doesn't generate charge using a heat exchanger like the smaller stove does.
2. The fan does make a whiney noise that can be a little loud when it is on level 3 or 4 but I'm not sure much can be done about that.

Best Firepit on the market!

Was gifted one by a close friend of mine after he purchased one for himself. Used it this past weekend in Pismo and it did not disappoint. Weather was beautiful and a little chilly and this kept myself and wife very warm. Can’t wait to use it again!

Perfect for social distancing!

We originally bought this for camping during the summertime, but found that we could easily use it in the winter for small social gatherings throughout all of 2020. The smokeless FirePit was a blast to have a friend or two around. We have taken to events, cooked on it and really have enjoyed it.
Heat output: great, especially when the battery is on the highest setting.
Smokeless: also great when the battery is on the highest setting.
Battery: I've only had problems once when I tried charging it with a different USB and it did not recharge. I believe others have complained about this.
Mesh: we bought ours in mid-2020 so I already knew there were mesh complaints. Ours did great until it got snowed on and wet. Although we brought it inside that night, the mess has gotten rusted. I've watched enough videos to know how to fix it though -- a soft wire brush and some spray paint for high heat.
Ease: the ease of starting a fire, moving the fire, and keeping the fire going is amazing. In the snow, despite having the pad down, there's so much heat that the FirePit starts melting the snow (but nothing under the pad), so we just slide it 6-8 feet from where we were sitting.
Cooking top: we've cooked on this with wood - which is hard to control the heat, but today I ordered the cook top and I'm so looking forward to it! We would totally recommend it to anybody wanting a portable FirePit!
Everyplace we've taken this little FirePit, it's a hit and people want to know all about it. Since we love it so much, we enjoy discussing it and providing feedback to friends and strangers.
