“Smokeless”??

Will be experimenting with it further, but so far I have not found that it is as smokeless as it is claimed to be. Even with seasoned dry wood. So far it seems more like a novelty item because the view of the fire is nice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great fire pit

i have sat on buying this for about a year now and finally decided to go for it .and im glad that i did the fire pit works great and does what it is supposed to do the pit it's self get's a 5 star but i i did have to knock off off a star because if you have a newer phone you can't use the Bluetooth app .and that's my case right now. so please update the app i would love to give you a a 5 star

I've only made a couple of fires so far, but am so pleased with how easy it is to start. Great design! We like it so much we've added some accessories - the fire blanket, hood, and griddle. We look forward to cooking on it as well as enjoying the heat!

Love it! Only issue is due to heat, the cylinder on the bottom separated from the wall opposite the battery. Fixed w washers in like 5min. Absolutely love biolite company. Waiting for the Mega Ultra camp stove w Thermo Elec Generator!

No app!

I just finished setting up the firepit+ and when I went to download the app... Tge appstore says my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21) is not compatible! Why feature a Bluetooth app when the app has not been maintained for years and is not available for a modern phone. I find that to be pretty poor. I have yet to use the item so this is my first impression. I'm not recommending because of misrepresentation.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We have observed that the app functions smoothly on certain newer phones while encountering compatibility issues with others. As of now, it is still accessible on IOS devices but may not be available on certain Android devices. Our team is currently exploring different possibilities to update the app.

Purchased the FirePit+ during the recent Black Friday sale and could not be happier. It took my a few minutes to set up the fire pit and also a few minutes to figure out the besr fan setting for the size of the fire. Throws off ample heat from wood fire (have not used charcoal yet) and with the mesh sides, it is easy to monitor the fire. The trapdoor made cleaning easy, fan recharged pretty fast (under one hour for over an hour of use) and thr legs collapse for easy storage. Also surprised at how fast the fire pit cooled down so I did not have to wait until the next morning to put the fire pit in the garage.
I do recommend the Biolite fire poker thingie and the mat to go under the pit so you do not stain or damage your deck/patio/driveway. If you are using it in the woods, the mat may not be necessary.

Wood has to be perfect size. I think making it more square(27x27) would be more practical so you can position the wood better. It's Tricky to get wood just right to have good, warm flame . Fan throws snowing ash toward the end of the burn. If you stop fan, then it smokes out. You can't dowse it with water so you just gotta move it somewhere away to finish smoldering out.

Thank you for getting in touch. Our FirePit is made to fit standard firewood that is 16" long. It's best not to go over this length to avoid smoke from packing beyond the fuel chamber. The rest is all about how you build your fire. We have a few tips for getting a great flame. For ash production, try adjusting the wood placement for better airflow and reducing ash. I really like using the Firepit+. So easy to start (and stop) a fire. I also love an essentially smokeless fire experience. Also a great grill for cooking. I wish its battery recharged with the heat of the fire like the Cook Stove, but am nevertheless thrilled to have the firepit.
