This is the most awesome light. I’ve used it for a night light, to entertain grandchildren, work light, etc. it has lots n lots of lighting options. At first I was a little intimidated my all the ways to dim, color, light, moving/flickering lights. But it was easier than I thought to control. Took maybe 15 minutes at the most. I used it every night and the battery was barely used. 3 out of four dots. I’m now leaving it on to truly see how long it will go. It is a definite buy, maybe 2 the wife steals it all the time.

UI (single button) is a bit painful and our unit sounds like it has a loose broken piece of plastic in it already (after 2 uses)

This light as a unit works great. And, would be giving 5 starts but It's a shame that you have to use a usb adapter (which was provided) to plug into the site lights / site light strings

Interesting light with many options. The only light that I think that could use some work is the flickering candle.I use it every night on my night stand.I will move it to my camper when the weather permits.

The AlpenGlow 500 is a great little camping light and what I have come to expect with Biolite. Not only does it provide many hours of effective utility lighting for camping, it serves as a great "ring light" substitute for my conference calls when I work from home. There are so many color options in addition to standard bright or soft white light, and there is even a port to charge another device via USB. A 3-minute video from Biolite shows you all you need to know.

I have several BioLite products including some of the smaller lights. I wanted to get a larger light. I am so glad I waited to get this new AlpenGlow 500 light. It is awesome. After watching the video, it is simple to use. I love the bright and the dimming options. The shake factor is a new and cool feature. I have used it a bit and look forward to the weather getting nicer to use it more on our deck. I'm happy to be one of the first people to get this great new light. Nice work BioLite!!!
