Love this lantern. Has multiple options for brightness, colors, and tones. I am sensitive to bright/harsh lights but I can set this to a calm setting to meet my my hypersensitive sensory needs! And I can still see around camp.

This thing rocks. Beside the nice colors for mood and all the light is bright and seems to last a long time. Perfect anywhere you need light. The candle mode is really nice on a patio at night, or in the bedroom. Nice job Bio Lite

Amazing night light!

I love my Alpenglow 500! I use it on the red light mode while putting my son to sleep and use it as a reading light almost every night. It also works great to light up my face during zoom calls now that it's getting dark out so early. Battery life is great, color modes are a lot of fun - I LOVE the Alpenglow!

I have all three sizes. I can’t say one particular size is my favorite. They all have great use for different purposes. I have four mini ones. One is on my backpack just in case I need a light source on the road. I love them for ambience and just in case for black outs. They last for four hours on high brightness. I have dropped the mini one a few times. Got scuffed a little but not to the point where it’s not useable. The big and middle one have so many different light modes. I’m a big fan of the fire light but I feel it’s the best on the medium light. There is a lock mode too. You can charge your phone and the best part is their portable. They are great as gifts but there just pricey. I haven’t got them wet yet so I can not speak on that. The mini is great because it has a bungee rope to hook onto anything. The others have hooks to make like lanterns. This won’t disappoint you.

This little lantern has alot going for it. It is almost impossible to find a lantern that offers a warm white setting. I'm not convinced that their claim of 2700K on the warm white setting is accurate, it appears to be somewhere between 3000-3500K, but it is waaaay better than 5000K+ that nearly every other lantern on the market operates at, with no option to select a warmer color temperature. I'm not sure who decided that we all suddenly wanted a bug zapper with us when camping, minus the zapping, but that's where we're at. The other thing I'd like to see on the next generation, is more of the teal colored plastic around the bottom to have some grip to it, like the teal portion that runs down the sides, which helps you not drop it. The final issue is, there shouldn't be any micro USB ports on anything in 2025, it was an annoying annoying connector from day one, and in 2025 they are a thing of the past, and it's disappointing that BioLite hasn't switched over on the AlpenGlow 250 and 500 models.

Fun light. I own several Biolite products. I like the 1/2 lit function so you have a bright light to light up an area without the light in your eyes. I sail and use the light as my main cabin light. I keep the color choice on red for night vision.
