Makes great coffee! I received the 8 cup Yosemite stovetop percolator as a Christmas gift and have been using it everyday since. However, after brewing my morning coffee this morning the knob broke as I removed the lid to clean. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was looking for a small percolator to brew decaf coffee. I really wanted a small electric percolator but since my regular percolator is made by Farberware and I’ve had it for decades and love it I decided to purchase their stove top percolator. I am so disappointed this product is no longer made in the United States and the quality is very poor compared to the electric one that I have been using for decades. After reading the other reviews I’m sorry that I purchased this item.

I purchased the Yosemite 8-Cup Coffee Percolator in July, 2013. The coffee from this pot is excellent, as is stated by all of our guests who taste the coffee made in it. The only question I have is about a replacement for the glass top, the glass dome of the lid. Ours recently broke, & hubby is very unhappy with the coffee from the electric percolator we are now forced to use. Do you carry replacement parts for the lids?

I bought this and, sure enough, the knob broke within months. I love the percolator, not happy with the knob. Having a difficult time replacing it.

It makes excellent coffee that is perfectly hot every time in just minutes. When you’re done, empty and soak in hot soapy water a couple of minutes, give a quick scrub with a brush, rinse and you’re done. I had a Twelve Cup that I used when family visited and they loved the coffee so much I gave it to them. I replaced it with the 8 Cup.

Bought model #47053, 12 cup for stovetop brewing. Makes excellent coffee. My percolator came with a GLASS TOP KNOB, it's stout! Very pleased with purchase and lifetime warranty is nice as well.
