Great purchase!!

After my 3rd coffee maker broke in less than 5 years, I decided I wanted something long lasting and low tech. This percolator is perfect!! It's bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I only use it to make 4 cups in the morning and it does the job just fine. According to other reviews I've read online, the clear viewing window on the lid breaks off easily, but so far it's stayed on fine after 6 months of use. I've already looked at purchasing replacement parts just in case that happens. The handle just started to loosen but it's nothing a screw driver can't fix easily. It took some trial and error to find the create the perfect cup of coffee as this is my first time ever using a percolator. Cleanup takes a little getting used to as well due to all the parts, but I feel it's easier to clean than a standard coffee machine. Others have also complained of that the lip under the top opening keeps liquid in, but again, it's nothing that a dry rag can't clean/soak up. The stainless steal is very sturdy and I think this will last me for many, many years. For the price and the quality, this is definitely worth it!

We have used stove top percolators since a little after we were married. We tried those Mr. Coffees and other drip counter top coffee makers and never got a great cup of coffee. This purchase we made may have been the second or third one we have purchased in 37 yrs of marraige. The others were still usable but beaten. It was nice to have a new shiney stainless steel pot in my remodeled kitchen. We are known by our friends as the best coffee makers!!! Some have converted with us to this type of coffee making as well!! Wow the price is unbeatable!! I love Farberware. Thats all I cook with!!

This is one of many coffee pots that I have purchased as I have always made my coffee on the stove. I’m a little disappointed because when I open the packaging the spring on the stem with the basket is missing. How do I get a replacement?

I bought this at least a year ago and use it nearly daily. I got tired of replacing the drip pots so often. This works very well but you do need to use a paper filter because the holes in the metal one are too large and grounds get through. I also use a filter on top of the grounds that completely traps the grounds in the filter basket. There is a bit of a learning curve but it’s worth it. I would buy this again and again. I’m

Love my coffee!!! Do not like the KNOB

I always loved the coffee my friend made in her Farberware Percolator, and after visiting her earlier this year, decided to buy one for myself and brew coffee the way it was intended to be brewed..the coffee brewed is delicious.
However, I haven't been able to brew any since the KNOB (not sure if it's glass or some type of plastic) broke off in my hand when I was removing the lid.
I just made a warranty claim and hope that Farberware addresses this issue (seems to be a problem mentioned in many other reviews).
Overall 5 stars for coffee quality - 1 star for pot quality - averaging to 3 stars

Glass dome broke on first use

Works On My Induction Stove !

I just recently installed a FRIGIAIRE FGI3047VF INDUCTION RANGE. I included the model# so people could look it up and see that it is INDUCTION. The FARBERWARE YOSEMITE 8-cup Percolator may not be magnetic, but it worked perfectly. I was using a CORNINGWARE stovetop PERCOLATOR for years, and needed a replacement to use on the new stove without an adapter. I just started using the YOSEMITE. Hope I don't have the glass top break as many people have said. Not as stream line as the CorningWare, but looks great. Just be careful if removing the lid after perking, the glass gets hot.

Makes The Best Coffee

I just bought this yesterday and was eager to try it out. The instructions were very simple and clear.I anxiously waited for it to complete the percolating process and was astonished at the taste. I should first say the temperature of the coffee was hot, letting me know that's a good sign. I finished the cup I poured, a rarity. I am so happy I bought it and can't praise this percolator enough. The brand was the selling feature along with the price. I looked for a long time for a percolator, mostly at the electric ones. When I came across this type I hesitated but because of the name I bought it. So glad I did. Makes a great cup of coffee
