Love It!

Overall, we are very happy with the stovetop percolator. We prefer it over the electric percolator which we were replacing once per year because the heating element would burn out religiously on month 13. The stovetop percolator solved this issue, and we've had our Yosemite Percolator now for over 5 Years. It goes with us on our camping trips too (used on a campstove - NOT the campfire!). If I could suggest two improvements, they would be to inscribe the water-fill marks larger and more prominent. The way they are now is very very difficult to see. And while it's not to big a deal, I'm reminded every morning of this as I struggle to fill it to the desired level. Secondly, make the percolator knob out of glass. I'd pay an extra $3 for this, since I'm paying for it now to replace the old one.
Pros: Brews Quickly, Durable, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use
Cons: Plastic Percolator Knob, Water Level Marks Difficult To See

Glass Knob Broke In Less Than Two Months

Love this pot. Makes the cup of coffee I'm after. Unfortunately, the glass knob broke today less than two months after I bought it. I did nothing but remove the pot's lid and not only did the glass knob break while removing the lid, it cut me and shattered glass in my grounds. I'm stuck with a coffee pot I can't use and no way to make my coffee. Given all the similar complaints, CHANGE this awful part of the design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why do you keep saying a broken glass knob

"is certainly unusual" when there's obviously some issue with the design or mfc. And that would be okay if you're offering to correct it, which it seems you are. But saying this is unusual when it is clearly not is misleading and makes me feel like you're not owning up to the defect. And that makes me not trust the quality of the brand.

Original design simplicity that works!

I bought the 8 cup Yosemite coffee percolator over two years ago. The coffee is absolutely delicious! Like an old diner in south Philly! 5 to 8 minutes once it starts to percolate. You’re going to love the taste! Be careful the coffee will be piping hot! The boiling water is what releases all the ground coffee goodness! Enjoy!

Really good coffee, but...

I really love the coffee that this percolator produces. After a few months though, the glass knob became mobile and slipped out a few times. I screwed it back in repeatedly, then one day it just broke apart. I am using an aluminum foil contraption at the top so I can still make coffee in it. They don't seem to offer replacement parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Keep breaking

I have went thru 6 percolators since the beginning of the year. I love using a percolator and this does brew good coffee but after using it a couple of time the coffee comes out like water. Very disappointed with how they don't last. Did not drop it and I always wash it. I use the 4cup and when I wake up and want a cup of coffee and it brews like water it ruins my morning. Really like the percolator but it doesnt last.

Best Coffee Ever

My Grandmother always made the best coffee using one of these... I recently bought one and all the memories came flooding back! The coffee is hot (not that lukewarm slop they overcharge you for at the trending coffee shops) strong and rich. Icing on the cake is you can use everyday brands of cheap coffee like Folgers and it tastes fantastic. Highly recommended.

just received this percolator a week ago and absolutely love it. I've tried many drip coffee pots in the past and none make coffee as good as an old school percolator.My only criticism is the cup markings should be on the inside of the pot instead of the outside,you do that and it's perfect!!!
