I'm switching from a manual expresso machine to this Phillips automatic machines. Price point was very good for the amount of features that I got. Very happy for the purchase and in all honesty I'll buy this machine again anytime.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes GREAT coffee but a few things are annoying..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GREAT tasting coffee but these THREE things would make me reconsider the purchase and buy another brand: 1. The grounds compartment fills up SO fast - on my parents' Jura machine, they do not have to empty it EVERY day... plus the plastic red thing comes out every time I wash it? 2. The water reservoir is TINY... have to fill it up after three cups of coffee... just really a nuisance. 3. The coffee bean compartment is small AND the beans have to be pushed over on a regular basis or you get a weak cup of Americano.
All in all, I would NOT buy this machine again...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Built in sensors are attrocious - errors out

The product's warning sensors have gone off 6 months into owning the product and now can't make coffee, have followed all procedures and called tech support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a decent machine, can’t complain about the coffee it dispenses but the maintenance effort is A LOT.
You’ll have to google every single thing - when to put powdered coffee - it just dumps it if you put it when the machine is off.
Not to mention the expense of coffee oil remover and the water filters. It’s a recurring cost on top of the money you invest in the machine. Also, quality beans aren’t cheap either.
Also, it has to be cleaned every week. I had fungus thriving inside my machine on top of wet coffee powder that was stuck.
Cons: 1. Doesn’t dispense only hot milk or milk without froth. 2. Expensive maintenance. 3. Needs cleaning every week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Weak!

I walked through the set up, troubleshooting and online forums and yet, this machine produces the weakest coffee I've ever brewed. Extremely disappointed and I will work to exchange the machine.

Thanks for taking the time to review the Fully automatic espresso machine. We are sorry to hear this machine is producing weak coffee, and can imagine this is disappointing. However, we hope that you give this appliance a second chance by trying a few more trouble shootings. It may be the case that your coffee is watery. Therefore, we advise you to properly clean the brew group. You can follow the user manual's instructions on page 20. Furthermore, if this machine is new, it goes through a self-adjustment procedure before it makes regular coffee. Please allow 5 cups of coffee for this procedure to be over. You can also try another coffee grounds for this. Finally, the grinder might set to a too coarse setting. Please set the grinder to a finer (lower) setting and brew 2 to 3 drinks to see the difference. If you already tried all these without any success, please contact on on Facebook (@Philips) or Twitter (@Philips) for further assistance.

With the Latte Go coffee machine from Philips, I was able to prepare my coffee with ease, and taste comparable to that served in cafes. It can prepare five different types of coffee (espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, and American coffee) and high flexibility in choosing what suits my taste intensity of coffee, the amount of water and even the temperature of the drink, built-in coffee bean grinder for fresh coffee, great milk froth and rich foam, The possibility of returning the remains milk pot to the refrigerator To keep it cool, I would highly recommend it to those looking for excellence and to all family members, especially the working family, as it will save time, effort and money as well.
This machine is truly fully automatic and is great for people who are busy and on the go. You get Cafe Grade coffee and espresso drinks from this machine. It is efficient and super easy to maintain thus far. The design is great for tight countertop access. Everything is front loaded and easy to operate. Would give 5 stars if there was an option to just froth cup of milk on its own. Also would be nice if the bean hopper was removable for easy switch out of bean type. A cup warming plate on top would be a nice touch as well. Otherwise this machine is perfect and at a great price point that makes sense to indulge.
