I did a lot of research before buying and testing. I am beyond satisfied with my coffee maker. Wish it was portable so I could take it with me everywhere

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is easy to operate, and has some adjustments you can easily make to customize your brew. I typically use the "coffee", "latte", and "hot water" options, and am happy with those. The bypass doser -- which I had thought I would use a lot -- is ok but I find that after rinsing the brew group weekly as instructed, this feature won't work until I've greased the brew group again (which is only supposed to be needed every couple of months). The machine tells you when you need to add water or empty the puck container, but not when you need to add beans. (The beans are quite visible, but sometimes at 5am I forget to check!) I do wish it could turn it on via a timer/schedule -- it takes about 90 sec to fire up and be ready to make coffee. This is my first espresso machine, and I am by no means a coffee gourmet, so YMMV.

Well Thought Out - Well Designed Espresso Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every component of this espresso machine is really well designed. Kudos to the engineers who came up with the LatteGo System. Brilliant way to make frothy milk using Venturi fluid dynamics! Simple user interface. Front-loading water reservoir. Easy access to brew unit for cleaning and maintenance. And mostly importantly, great coffee! My only concern is longevity, but Philips offered an extended 2 year warranty on top of existing 2 year warranty. On their website, they mention this model is discontinued. I am trying to understand why Philips discontinued this fabulous machine. Mystery to me!

There are so many ways to make your drink exactly how you like it and it is nice to set it and walk away to do other things while it makes your drink for you. Clean up is quick and easy too.
