I take my Sonos Rome with me everywhere. It's sturdy and attractive (like me!) I compare it's sound to my Bose but it's easy to take with me and so it's my new bestie❤️! Next I'll buy it a sweet case to show it some love. Thanks for making a great product I can use daily and never get tired of because it's so smooth.

My first one of these died. I loved it and was frustrated that mine was having problems. Sonos sent me a new one a testament to their brilliant customer service. It is a great speaker and you know Sonos has your back.

Very disappointed in sound volume. We own many different Sonos speakers this is the first one to let us down.

It will not stay connected to my system, other Sonia components. It drops connection every time I turn it off, and I have to go through set up, which will 50-50 work.
Pros: Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Unreliable

Died Shortly After 1 Year Warranty Expired

Had the Roam for about 15 months. It died and support was not able to troubleshoot the issue. The warranty period is only 1 year, so they were not able to replace. When working, my experience with the Roam was not seamless. One button controls power, sleep, bluetooth connect, and wifi/Bluetooth mode, so it is difficult to use and often does not do what you intend. I've had numerous times where I get where I'm going only to find out that the speaker turned itself back on and is now out of battery. At this price point, there are other speakers on the market that have better sound and battery life. You are paying for the ability to connect this to Wi-Fi and play with other Sonos speakers. That feature worked nice, but did not redeem this from being a below average portable speaker.

Can't control bluetooth connection properly. That's stupid.

I wanted a device that functions on bluetooth and wifi. The ROAM device turns the bluetooth connection off f I don't constantly use it - even when plugged in and power is not an issue. This means I - and other home users - are constantly reconnecting the device to the computer bluetooth. There is no reason for this when powered, and the user should be able to change this function.
Cons: Can't control bluetooth settings

. I am disappointed in this product. I have 4 other Sonus speakers including the Move. They are excellent speakers, but this speaker has so many issues that need to be fixed. It's like they released the speaker before it was ready. Problems. Difficult to connect to network. Consistently loses the network none of my other speakers so this. The battery life is my biggest complaint, it certainly doesn't last 10 hours as advertised. More like 4 or 5 hours. Every time I go to use the speaker it's dead. The main reason for this is due to the fact that the speaker does not turn off automatically when not in use. The controls are confusing, as they are with all of their other speakers. It's nearly impossible to see the controls on the speaker. And lastly the sound quality is less than acceptable. It's bland at best. No bass, not very loud. Go back to the drawling board and fix these issues. Sonus has a history of putting out products before they are ready for use by the public. I'm sure they will come out with a news and improved version. Let's just hope they don't abandon this model like they did with their 1 generation Sonus products.
