Do not buy... brick after 1 year

I recieved the roam as a gift a little over a year ago and it has not stood the test of time. I love Sonos, but this is definitely not their easiest to use product and I would expect more longevity for the price.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Wireless
Cons: Battery, Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Nice portable speaker but battery seems to be an issue

Main advantages for this speaker are small size and portability. The sound is good but could use more bass. My main complaint with this speaker is reliability, it seems to have a battery problem. Both of our speakers stopped working after about 3 years. Sonos Customer Service, in this regard, is outstanding, they replaced both speakers at no cost to me. I couldn't be happier with Sonos, but I will avoid battery powered speakers in the future.

Not great for travelers

I love the power and clarity of the sound when Rome decides to work in places other than my house. While traveling for work or for pleasure, I always bring a speaker with me just in case my accommodations do not have their own. Trying to setup the Roam over and over again just to get Bluetooth to work in each new location is a very frustrating process. I wish on this device the Bluetooth would work without having to go through the Wi-Fi set up process first.

Improve on the battery life and/or ability to replace it

I have purchased I think about five or six of these speakers including Roam SLs as well and so far have thrown two away because once the battery dies it's over. All my other Sonos products work great other than the sporadic disconnecting of the system components. I don't think that I will be purchasing any more of these.
